Kelly Engineering, a managed solution provider and business unit of Kelly Services, Inc., is currently seeking a **Manufacturing Production Supervisor** **,** for a long-term engagement at one of our Global Robotic Medical Device clients with locations in **Redwood City, CA. Shift hours are 6:00am - 2:30pm, Monday - Friday.** This role is a full-time, fully benefitted position. The **Production Supervisor** is responsible for the performance of a team and for directing the activities of a production area and equipment in operation for a regulated Medical Device Company. This position will also be responsible for training of employees, as well as the safe operation of the equipment while efficiently producing products that meet our quality standards.

**Key Job Responsibilities:**

+ Supervise and coordinate a team of production operators and/or technicians.

+ Directly responsible for the product output of non-exempt employees.

+ Prepare job schedules, assign duties and oversees the workflow and product quality.

+ Enforce and maintain quality processes, procedures, and safety on the manufacturing floor to ensure all standards, requirements, and regulations are met.

+ Responsible for completing daily production reports and verifying their accuracy.

+ Contributes to the development and improvement of departmental processes and procedures.

+ Incorporates continuous improvement methods in day-to-day work to improve quality of product and efficiency of the manufacturing line

+ Ensure that procedures are clear, and that training is adequate. Provide feedback and direction to operators and/or technicians regarding their skill development and training needs. Directly involved in the training of personnel and development of training plans for all employees and maintain accurate training records.

+ Track and keep records for productivity and yields.

+ Assess transition difficulties relating to product/processes and interact with manufacturing engineering team to ensure processes and designs are compatible.

+ Disposition Non-Conformance Material Reports. Responsible for Corrective and Preventive Actions as assigned

+ Monitor workmanship standards and provide feedback to each area operator and manage

+ Ensure compliance with company policy, rules regulations and procedures

+ Help maintain material transaction integrity by performing cycle counts, resolving inventory issues, and solving transactional error

+ Evaluate the performance of non-exempt employees and write reviews.

+ Assure that production related MPI's are being followed to maximize quality and minimize waste. Maintain close contact with support groups to address any issues impacting production.

+ Other duties assigned by the management.


+ Vocational, Certificate, Technical or Associates required.

+ A minimum of 6 Years Work Experience is required.

+ Minimum of 5 years' experience in a supervisory position within a manufacturing environment is required.

+ Demonstrated knowledge of manufacturing principles and practices, and procedures is required.

+ Ability to work in a regulated environment in compliance to ISO 13485 and 21 CFR 820 is required.

+ Strong floor supervision with hands on involvement in production operations is required.

+ Demonstrate superior work ethics.

+ Strong verbal and written communication skills.

+ Working knowledge with SAP an Agile is required.

+ Proficiency in the use of basic Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint) is required.

+ Ability to work in regulated clean room most of the time to support job duties is required.

+ The ability to work in a clean room most of the time to support job duties is required.

+ This job may require shift and / or weekend work to support departmental needs and job duties.

+ Experience in medical device industry or medical field preferred.
