Description **Job Description**

The associate is responsible for wiring of accessories and of the trucks. The associate should have knowledge of part placement and testing of finished truck. The associate will work in tight fitting spaces. The associate is responsible for maintaining a clean and safe work environment for fellow associates.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

- Read work orders and schematics to determine specifications for jobs.

- Locates and marks positions for light, switches, brackets relays selenoids, cables and other electrical apparatus.

- Drills holes, welds brackets, and mounts all specified electrical apparatus.

- Makes and installs PDM-s for all electrical accessories.

- Threads wiring and pre-assembled cables from under dash along frame, through holes to terminals of power source and connects to installed electrical apparatus.

- Tests all wiring for correct operation of electrical equipment.

- Performs re-work as necessary to meet specifications.

- Ability to trouble shoot circuits as failures occur.

- Other tasks as assigned.

Education and/or Experience

- High School Diploma or Equivalent.

- Mechanical knowledge; ability to read tape measure and schematics.

Other Qualifications

Reading, calculation, measuring, planning, interpreting, explaining, and communicating are required.

Environmental conditions: Exposure to elevated surfaces, vibration, moving objects, noise, slippery floors, and mechanical hazards.

Physical Demands

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to sit, stand, walk, stoop, kneel & crouch, and climb stairs/ladders. Occasionally the employee is required to climb or balance.

Employee must be able to regularly lift and/or move from (5) five to (50) fifty pounds.

Anything over 50 lbs. requires physical or mechanical assistance. Able to work in fluctuating climates.
