Description **Kelly Engineering** is currently recruiting for a **(Direct Hire) (Master Mechanic)** job located in **Charlotte, NC.** Working under the Engineering group, the Mechanic role will perform a variety of duties related to the maintenance, repair, and upkeep of the Packaging facility equipment. This may include troubleshooting and repairing machinery, supporting TPM-related activities, and ensuring safe and efficient utilization of Packaging equipment.

*****2nd Shift*****

**MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:**


+ Implement preventive maintenance tasks as needed on various pieces of equipment
+ Perform troubleshooting and corrective maintenance activities on equipment as needed
+ Repair and/or replace defective or worn shafts, bearings, sprockets, rollers, drive chains, and worn belts
+ Work collaboratively with external vendors to complete tasks or major PMs
+ Maintain proper records of all inventories and spare parts
+ Support and assist in the training of Packaging associates on the safe and proper use of the packaging equipment
**QUALIFICATIONS:**


+ HS Diploma or GED required
+ Must have at least five (5) years of experience in mechanic/machinist field with experience in a high-speed manufacturing and/or packaging environment
+ Strong interpersonal skills to collaboratively work with team members in order to provide production and maintenance support
+ Preferred background in mechanical fabrication
+ Strong work ethic, sense of urgency, and desire to deliver results
+ Proficient in use of Microsoft Office software, including Word and Excel
+ Knowledge of logistics automation (scanning equipment, RF systems)
+ PLC control logic experience desired
+ Strong oral and written communication skills; bilingual a strong plus
+ Availability to work overtime, weekends, and holidays, as needed
+ Working knowledge of electrical, hydraulics, pneumatics, and building maintenance
+ Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
