Description Material Handler

You will be working onsite at a top petro-chemical client in long-term contract opportunity in Lake Jackson, TX.

You will be supporting the Research and Development (R&D) Warehouse Operations group with warehousing duties, maintaining and tracking inventory of equipment and chemicals, ordering supplies, and scheduling hazardous waste shipments.

The Primary Responsibilities include:

• Lead interface to R&D tenants regarding warehousing needs

• Leads efforts with R&D for transfers of materials from off-site warehousing

• Organize and prioritize planned transporting of chemical from warehouse to labs

• Manage all truck deliveries to the site including chemicals, packages and mail

• Receiving of all deliveries including R&D chemicals and equipment

• Complete receiving in SAP or send paperwork to B-401 receiving

• Manage entries in chemical inventory for the site

• Prepares inventory reports to check with chemical loading compliance

• Prepare reports for EH&S audits of warehouse and lab chemical inventory

• Maintain inventory of equipment and chemicals that are stored on Freeport site for use at TXINN

• Work with Airgas on any specialty cylinder orders for R&D

• Order solvents required for solvent dispensing

• Manage ordering of safety supplies required for warehouse

• Manages ordering of waste packaging supplies for all R&D tenants

• Manage orders for outside vendors that support R&D with vendor stocking (Fisher, Continental Carbonic, etc.)

• Schedule all hazardous waste shipments and assure manifest is prepared

• Completes all warehouse <90 day waste are inspections to verify compliance

• Arrange for shipping of equipment and samples as requested by R&D

• Other tasks as assigned by Dow sponsor or Nemark warehouse supervisor who manages overall warehouse operations

The secondary responsibility is to support normal warehouse operations as required

• Move chemical and equipment inventories in the warehouse

• Transporting of packages to the labs and office areas

• Consolidating waste for shipments

• Preparing and organizing the hazardous waste shipments


+ High School Diploma or GED (some college preferred)
+ 3+ years of experience in warehouse environment which includes warehousing inventory, shipping/receiving work
+ Experience operating forklift
+ Proficiency in SAP is a plus.
+ Good PC skills and working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Outlook
+ Must possess strong work ethics
+ Must have valid driver’s license
