**Material Handler/Warehouse Position in Hillsboro, OR**
Kelly Services is currently seeking a Material Handler for one of our top clients in Hillsboro, OR.
This is an open ended contract that includes full benefits. Pay is $16/hr.
There are 2 different shifts:
\#1: 8:00 AM-5:00 PM; Monday-Friday
\#2: 7:00 AM-7:30 PM; Thursday-Saturday, every other Wednesday
The Material handler supports the Production Operation, Materials Management group and Business Units by moving raw materials into and out of the production environment, Receiving, Shipping and Inventory storage areas, providing materials and supplies as needed and performing cycle counts to ensure system and physical inventories match.
Duties include picking components for production work orders, internal requests and outbound shipments, stocking incoming materials, packing internal requests and outbound orders for shipment, performing transactions in WMT and other database systems to accurately track and maintain material movement records (inventory transfers, work order transactions, scanning serial numbers etc.).
**ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES**
Must understand inventory management principles and practices (cycle count, Kanban, etc.)
Perform Material Movements (Picking, Transfers, etc.) and execute appropriate transactions in WMT or database systems to assure inventory accuracy
Package and prep outbound orders for shipment
Perform cycle counts
Must be detail oriented and be able to work with minimal supervision
Strong communication, analytical and problem-solving skills
Other duties as assigned
REQUIREMENTS /EXPERIENCE NEEDED TO PERFORM THE DUTIES OF THIS POSITION:
High school diploma or General Education Diploma (GED) required.
Experience in inventory or warehouse related roles
The ideal candidate will have at least 2 yrs. experience in a similar role with knowledge of Pick/Pack, Shipping, MRP, inventory management
Experience with data entry in MRP or similar systems.
The ability to wear personal protective gear correctly most of the day
Physically capable of manual labor that includes lifting, bending, pulling, and reaching
Light to moderate lifting on regular basis
