Material Handler responsibilities listed below relate to the core of this position. The listing is representative, but not necessarily all-inclusive.
- Understand and comply with all applicable internal companies and external health, safety, security, and environmental policies.
- Ability to perform physical labor (drum, pail and bag material handling as well as lift chemical hoses).
- Safely perform operating tasks using a variety of chemical processing equipment.
- Follow established procedures in packaging material into containers (pails, drums, totes, tank trucks etc.).
- Clean equipment as required for maintenance or next packaging. Maintain housekeeping at excellent levels.
- Operate forklift in a safe manner.
- Transfer material from bulk tank trucks to storage tanks
- Transfer material from tanks to bulk tank trucks
**Requirements**
Experience and Skills
Skills, Qualifications, Experience, Special Physical Requirements:
- Must have a high school diploma or equivalent
- Basic math and reading skill
- Physically able to move drums weighing up to 450 lbs. with proper equipment
- Ability to lift 70 lbs
- Good computer skills
- Ability to work outside in the heat or cold
- Ability to be on time every day
Considered A Plus
- Previous forklift
- Knowledge of pumping operations, tank operations, and filtration equipment
- Previous experience in a team-based work environment
