Kelly Services has an exciting opportunity for a Material Handler to work a temp to hire position in Redmond!


Mon - Fri

8am to 5pm

$18.50/hour


PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES


The Material Handler has three main functions: Receive materials and product into the facility; control inventory of raw materials, assemblies and finished goods; ship materials and product from the facility.


- Receive materials and product:

o Check all received materials for shipping damage.

o Match received items to applicable purchase orders and record their receipt.

o Reference appropriate MSDSs for handling and labeling of hazardous materials.

o Deliver items to appropriate locations or recipients.

o Process returns per established procedures.

- Control inventory:

o Maintain accurate records of inventory levels through transaction records and physical and cyclical inventory counts.

o Ensure production materials and finished goods are secure.

o Deliver items to manufacturing per initiated Work Orders.

o Deliver items to users per material requests.

o Maintain Kanban inventory locations.

- Shipping:

o Properly secure all items for shipment.

o Use common and specialty carriers as required for shipment of items from Spiration.

o Update applicable inventory records affected by shipment of items.

o Maintain shipping log for all items shipped.

- Participate in meetings as required.

- Work with engineers and technicians to resolve process issues and suggest improvements on an ongoing basis.

- Maintain clean room integrity by using proper attire and adherence to clean room environment practices and procedures.

- Maintain accurate and timely records/documentation related to quality, material control, work in progress, test results, labor (e.g. timecards) and special projects.

- Strictly adhere to general safety rules, Manufacturing procedures, company policies and procedures, Good Manufacturing Practices, and FDA regulations.

- Perform other miscellaneous duties as requested or assigned.

Education*:

- High school diploma or equivalent required.

- Associates degree a plus.


Experience*:

- 2+ years working in an office, lab or manufacturing environment required.

- Experience with physical inventory, cycle counting a plus.

- Experience with pallet loading, strapping and wrapping also a plus.


Skills and Competencies:

- PC-based computer skills required. Experience with Microsoft Outlook preferred as is familiarity with Word and Excel.

- Experience with the traditional machines, equipment, and tools related to material handling preferred.

- A proven record of consistently following through on commitments and is dependable in attendance and start-times for work required.

- Maintains and communicates realistic schedules and meets or beats deadlines.

- Service oriented approach, flexible and proactive towards changing needs. Exceptionally team focused and actively contributes to a positive and innovative work environment.

- Demonstrated ability to work precisely according to procedures, rules and regulations, has a passion for continuous improvement and quality.

- Demonstrates the highest ethical standards, actively promotes trust, respect and integrity in all dealings both inside and outside the Company


Other Considerations (travel/hours availability, etc.):

- Ability to work overtime, including evenings and weekends on occasion.
