Material Planner
GENERAL STATEMENT
The planner position is responsible for the planning, expediting and scheduling of corresponding product(s) within the manufacturing process. The goal is to schedule output in order to achieve customer requirement satisfaction on time. Assure material availability to manufacturing to maintain continuous process flow.
DUTIES AND RESPONSABILITIES
1. Load item masters for all new parts. This includes make and purchased parts for new assemblies utilizing screen A640l.
2. Load and maintain product structures in AIMS system utilizing A6402.
3. Assist shop floor planner/material coordinators to assure customer schedules are met on time.
4. Identify critical and potential production material shortages.
5. Perform routine tasks with limited supervision in the expediting of purchased materials directly with purchasing to support manufacturing schedules.
6. Perform material analysis for availability of parts for upcoming schedules/forecast or customer immediate requests.
7. Interface with receiving and receiving inspection resources for production shortage priorities.
8. Revise planner dispatch queues and analyzes order suggestions for the confirmation of material requirement orders.
9. Responsible for downloading and confirming orders.
10. Change confirmation orders in AIMS (A64442) as per manufacturing commits to decrease order delinquencies.
11. Update weekly report on delinquencies with its corresponding chart.
12. Participate in the analysis of engineering change effectively analysis for materials cost implementation.
13. Responsible to load EC changes in the system and prepare the effectively of the incorporation summary to must conform, use as is and redistribution.
14. Other job related tasks might be assigned related to the materials organization.
EXPECTED QUALIFICATIONS FOR THE POSITION
Education: Bachelor's Degree
Experience: Knowledge of MRP Systems and 5 - 7 years experience in materials planning. Teamwork oriented.
General knowledge of computer systems and operations including spreadsheet and word processing supervisory experience desired.
