**Direct hire opportunity as a Materials Planner II with a manufacturer of** **high-quality optoelectronic products**

**Location: Wilsonville, OR**

**Hours: M-F ; 7am - 3:30pm**

**Salary: $60,000 - $70,000**

Production & Inventory Control Coordinator to manage all aspects of production control and inventory control. The PC Coordinator will ensure production and inventory control programs are in place and effective. This individual will also manage Work in-process (WIP) variances, and ensure planning and inventory attributes are accurate. This position reports directly to the Director of Operations.


_Production Control:_

Act as liaison between Manufacturing, Engineering, Materials, Logistics and Finance to improve processes, communication and solve problems. Highlight areas for Continuous Improvement opportunities.

Create and maintain Factory Production Schedule based on Plannings input and direct manpower requirements and activities on Production floor.

Managers multiple reports (daily, weekly, monthly, and on demand) which communicate production capacities and changes throughout the plant. Participates in daily production meetings and other factory meetings as required.

Investigate resource and material variances on all Work Orders

Maintain ERP integrity: (BOMs, Routings, Operation Completions, etc.) and generate metrics to measure accuracy of data

Review and approve Deviations & ECOs related to Planning, Inventory and Production Control.

Create and manage Kanban programs between inventory and manufacturing.

Works with the Production Manager to create more efficient Production & WIP systems.

Work with the Operations Management, Engineering, Production, and Finance to thoroughly understand and advise on managing short term/long term capacities to minimize the cause for past due orders

_Inventory Control:_

Generate weekly cycle count sheets for all factory count areas of WIP, Warehouse, and other critical areas

Reconcile offsite inventories with 3rd party warehouses

Assist area owners with resolving cycle count variances

Perform inventory transactions for out-of-cycle variances, adjustments, and transfers.

Investigate and resolve issues related to negative on-hand balances

Perform ABC analysis to ensure all inventory items and valuations are current

Generate reports and metrics related to inventory accuracy


Minimum - High School diploma, or equivalent.


Strong attention to safety, detail, and accuracy.

Proficient in math and basic computer skills.

Effective verbal and written communication skills.

Ability to solve transactional / process issues to resolve variances (WIP and Inventory)

Ability to investigate, and work with others, to resolve production and resource variances.

Builds cross-functional relationships with other members on the team;

Strong organizational skills.


Minimum 5 years production and inventory control experience.

APICS CPIM Certification desired.

Knowledgeable with ERP systems, MS Word, and Excel a must;

Inventory management, control, and coordination experience.

Knowledge of plant cost accounting.
