Materials Planning Manager
Remote (Work From Home)
6 MONTH CONTRACT ASSIGNMENT
Pay Rate: $60.00/hr
**Responsibilities:**
Responsible for developing and maintaining valid production schedules from the demand forecast to meet customer requirements, while utilizing resources cost effectively.
Support Value Stream Manager in leading materials related projects and play a key role in new product introductions and production changes.
Lead the planners in the execution of the production plan in MRP/SAP
Lead the Supply Side weekly review meeting
Create the production plan that determines the earned hour forecast
Load and review work center detail on a weekly basis for the 13 week master schedule
Keep factory workload level loaded
Communicate shipping metrics and past dues at Tier 3 meetings
Communicate demand fluctuations to the demand management team for review
Monitor weekly customer shipments.
Create material strategies as needed
Analyze and reduce costs of materials
Determine inventory levels of components and finished goods
Provide input to management regarding long term material issues that could impact corporate decisions
Maintenance of the item master in MRP environment
Represents the Materials Manager when required
Meet the customer delivery performance and financial earned hour objectives while minimizing the inventory investment
**Qualifications:**
Experience in Master Scheduling
APICS certification or equivalency preferred
Possess the ability to multi-task in a changing environment
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Ability to work under pressure, balancing conflicting priorities and resource constraints
Thorough understanding of MRP logic and inventory strategies
Experience with AS/400 or SAP is preferred
Sales and Operations Planning a plus
Advanced Computer skills; excel, word and power point
Ability to analyze and reconcile material issues
BS or BA Degree required in Business, Logistics, Supply Chain, Operations or related field
Must be proficient in English language
