Description **Job Description**

Kelly Services is currently looking for experienced Mechanical Assemblers in the Chandler, AZ area. Pay will depend on level of experience.

A. Primary Duties and Responsibilities: (of all positions above)

1. Performs various production assembly operations on components and subassemblies.

2. Uses visual aids, drawings and verbal and written instruction to assemble, modify, re-work or re-assemble units. Receives detailed instruction on new assignments.

3. Install sub-assemblies.

4. Must display competent dexterity to insure safe handling of explosive devices.

5. All work is performed in explosive handling areas.

6. Perform other related duties as assigned.

B. Primary Skill Requirements: (of all positions above)

1. Ability to read, understand and follow written instructions.

2. Must display competent dexterity to insure safe handling of explosive devices.

3. Basic hand tool knowledge (tweezers, pliers)

4. Basic measuring tool knowledge (calipers, micrometers)

5. Basic math skills.

6. Light assembly training.

7. Safety awareness training.

8. Safe powder handling training.

9. Agility to use a microscope.

C. Specific Duties and Responsibilities:

- Position 1 - Title - Mechanical Assembler I

1. Responsibilities and duties as outlined in Section A & B above.

2. Work under direct supervision.

3. Weigh and press inert & energetic materials.

4. Set up and use analytical balance.

5. Perform inert assembly operations.

6. Minor cabling, potting, tinning and assembly work.

7. Set up and use powder press for pressing operation.

8. Some minor set-up capability for specific equipment.

9. May have some basic soldering experience.

D. Additional information

1. Under limited supervision fabricate and deliver mechanical assemblies.

2. Perform both inert and energetic assembly operations.

3. Set up and use simple fixturing and/or tooling for assembler use.

4. Under limited supervision, operate production equipment that has been set-up by supervisor, technician, machinist or higher level machine operator.

5. Duties may include TIG and Laser welding, part specific Bridgewire welding and soldering.
