**Title:** Mechanical Designer



**Duration:** 6+ months



**Location:** Oshkosh WI





**Essential Duties and Responsibilities:**




+ JLTV Designers on International Platform team - JLTV modifications for customer specific orders/other country requirements.

+ Aggressive deadline to execute design, analysis, and BoM release. Contractors required to complete chassis design tasks for this project and support other SME teams to ensure timely completion of the project and prototype release of BoM.

+ Include design work, completing & checking drawings, loading prototype work orders, and supporting the prototype build. May be required to travel locally to production sites.

+ The Associate Layout Designer will support engineers with drawing layouts by utilizing computer-aided drafting software. This role will also be responsible for creating new and modified components and Bill of Materials (BOM) in accordance to the clients standards.

+ Update current drawings per markups based on direction from engineering; re-master CAD drawings to current format.

+ Use computer-aided drafting systems to create 3D and 2D layouts, following the direction of design team members.

+ Self-check own work to ensure accuracy and organization, dimension and tolerance convention, and conformance with established CAD specification and standards.

+ Utilize ERP systems to create part numbers following the proper naming process and data entry requirements.



**Qualifications:**




+ MUST have Creo & Catia experience

+ Strong mechanical aptitude

+ Work experience in design is preferred.

+ 3d CAD experience with machining and sheet metal (Creo and/or Catia). Tubing or tube steel structures preferred; weldments as well.

+ Heavy truck or equipment background is desirable.





**Education / Experience:**




+ Associate degree in Mechanical Design (preferred with internship experience in drafting/design). ***Higher level degrees will not be accepted for this position.***

+ Verbal and written communication skills.

+ Ability to adapt to a fast pace environment.

+ Detail oriented.

+ Capable of using standard Windows Office tools including SharePoint, email, and CAD tools.

+ Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
