Kelly Services is seeking a skilled and talented designer to become a valued member of our customers team in Longmont, Colorado.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced drafter-designer with at least 5 years of experience to join a growing international space component supplier.

**Main Responsibilities of Job:**


+ This position will support the generation of space battery designs in close coordination with Design Engineers
+ Drafter-Designer will utilize SolidWorks to design parts and assemblies under the direction of the Project Engineer
+ Drafter-Designer will generate 2D drawings conforming to ANSI drawing standards for part fabrication
+ Drafter-Designer will generate 2D assembly drawings detailing the assembly standards and processes required for assembly
+ Report directly to the Engineering Manager
**Requirements:**


+ A minimum of an Associate’s degree in a technical discipline such as engineering, math, or physics required
+ Minimum of 3 years’ work experience with SolidWorks required
+ Significant experience with GD&T and ANSI drawing standards required
+ Experience designing parts for manufacturability required
+ Experience with tight tolerance machined parts required
+ Excellent communication skills (verbal and written) and the ability to work within a close knit team to strict deadlines
+ Space or Aerospace industry specific experience preferred, other highly regulated industry experience considered such as oil and gas or medical
+ Knowledge of, or experience with lithium-ion batteries advantageous
+ Experience with OrCAD or other electrical schematic drafting software highly desired
