_Kelly Engineering Resources has an exciting_ **_direct-hire_** _opportunity for a Mechanical Engineer to join a leading industrial heat-treat equipment manufacturer in Gregg County, TX!_

The Mechanical Engineer will support the product development of an industry leaders Industrial Bake and Burn thermal-processing equipment in Kilgore, TX. This role will support and advise on all engineering activities throughout the product Lifecyle, including sales, design, manufacturing/production, testing, installation, troubleshooting and customer technical support. The Mechanical Engineer will report directly to the President.

**Primary Responsibilities:**

+ Provide Engineering support for Industrial Bake and Industrial Burn Oven product lines, including:

+ **Sales Support:** Special project support as needed.

+ **Customer Support:** Service needs, permitting needs, after sale questions or additional needs.

+ **Manufacturing/Production** Support: Work Orders and Drawings for shop manufacturing needs. Electrical and troubleshooting of ovens in final testing. General manufacturing support during Fabrication.

+ **Electrical Support** : PLC and Relay logic design

+ New component evaluation for all products.

+ Design and assemble combustion test rigs, perform combustion experiments, and analyze test results

+ Create drawings for experimental components, sub-systems, and other mechanical assemblies

+ Support burner design concept generation, analysis, and optimization

+ Interface closely with combustion sub-system component suppliers

+ Interface with the multidisciplinary experimental, computational, and design teams to support validating analytical models with burner test data and iterate on prototype designs

+ Conduct evaluation of next-generation designs by the R&D and Engineering teams

+ Support to current Engineer in capacitor and rotary division.

**Minimum Qualifications:**

+ Bachelors Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Physics, Chemical Engineering, or similar

+ 3+ years of commercial or industrial experience designing combustion equipment and related support systems for residential, commercial, or industrial applications

+ Hands-on experience designing and building combustion/burner test setups

+ Hands-on experience planning and performing combustion experiments in a laboratory environment and theoretical/computational analysis

+ Knowledge of combustion chemistry, thermodynamics, heat transfer, and fluid mechanics including flame propagation in complex fuel mixtures and combustion kinetics & chemistry

+ Experience analyzing laboratory and/or field test data to correlate and validate analytical models

+ Ability and enthusiasm to work as part of a highly collaborative, dynamic, and diverse team

**Preferred Qualifications:**

+ Background in combustion and emissions for gas boilers, gas furnaces, or micro-combustion systems

+ Hands-on experience designing, building, and evaluating new combustion systems

+ Hands-on experience using CAD tools (SolidWorks preferred) to create mechanical models, fabrication drawings, and assembly drawings
