Description Kelly Services is currently seeking an Mechanical Engineer/Project Coordinator for one of our top clients in Santa Clara, CA for a consulting position.

As an Engineering Project Coordinator, you’re responsible for project and lifecycle management of the design, procurement and validation of a variety of mechanical assemblies. You will work with engineers to drive design to final CAD and drawings, engage with suppliers to source parts in prototype quantities, including interactions with commercial teams as necessary.

Job Responsibilities Include:


+ You will create component qualification plans and ensure they are executed.
+ Maintain and manage inventory of parts to support build events of higher level assemblies.
+ Track project status and regularly report out to Sr. Engineering Project Manager.
Qualifications:


+ Experience with design and sourcing of mechanical assemblies
+ Basic understanding of common part fabrication processes: stamping, CNC, injection molding, and welding.
+ Minimum of 3 years’ experience in project management roles:
+ Demonstrated ability to create and maintain a project schedule in MS Project or similar tools
+ Demonstrated ability to create project status dashboards, track risk items to closure Mechanical engineering background strongly preferred; some experience with CAD tools a plus
+ Must have excellent, flexible communication skills with a wide variety of people and be
+ Knowledge of product development and manufacturing processes
+ Understands and deals well with rapid development cycles
+ Identify cross-functional design dependencies and risks
+ Clearly define and document design tradeoffs
+ Develop project schedules
