**_Mechanical Project Manager_**

**_Leominster, MA (Relocation Provided)_**

**_Direct Hire_**

Responsible to direct and coordinate activities to ensure that assigned projects are accomplished according to scope, budget and delivery requirements. The Project Manager is the main interface to the customer and management and serves as a focal point for all information relating to the order.

**Job Duties:**

Deliver an integrated line, machine or components that meet customer expectations, requirements and specifications.

Work with Applications Engineering department to generate and review detailed quotations

Meet with customers to present technical quotations, review details and negotiate purchase contracts

Review the order for accuracy, price and delivery feasibility

Communicate to the customer all required customer supplied deliverables and their due dates.

Assemble Project team and prepare detailed plan

Work closely with operations and engineering to plan resource needs for assigned projects

Prepare and present project status reports to management.

Enter and update the order in the business system software in place.

Manage customer scope change and communicate consequences of all changes to original order to management and the customer.

Attend technical review meetings to ensure that all technical solutions meet the scope, budget and delivery requirements.

Work closely with purchasing to ensure that all purchased items meet quality and delivery requirements. Provide all relevant information to purchase third party equipment including, technical specifications, copy of quotations, delivery, any OEM discounts available etc.

Direct customer invoicing and ensure that payments are received or appropriate action is taken.

Communicate documentation requirements and schedule to the documentation department. The order will not be considered as complete until the customer has formally approved and accepted all required documentation.

Coordinate change parts requirements with Change Parts Department.

Coordinate Factory Acceptance Testing, crating and shipping to the customer site.

Coordinate on-site installation and training with Service Department. The order will not be considered as complete until the customer formally accepts the equipment.

Become familiar with Nova Packaging Systems equipment and third party vendors.

Maintain and update the Project Management Procedures and workflow diagrams

All other duties as assigned.


Leadership ability.

Strong communication skills.

Excellent comprehension of technical documents and concepts.

Proficient in windows based spreadsheet, word processing and scheduling software (MS Project)

Some travel will be required for up to two weeks duration. Expected travel is 33% of the time or less.

**Education/ Experience:**

Engineering degree or technical certificate.

3 to 5 years experience in the design and build of Integrated Packaging Lines and custom built machinery.

BS degree or higher in a related field.
