Mechanical/Reliability Engineer

Kelly has an exciting opening for a Mechanical/Reliability Engineer to provide reliability engineering (RE) support the DIS Facilities located in Texas City and Deer Park Texas.

He or She will support the local reliability engineer to ensure the plant achieves its reliability goals. Including:

Development and implementation of facility and equipment reliability strategies, solving reliability challenges and availability losses through application of reliability technology.

The role will align to the Business Reliability Leader and has primary responsibility to implement the TXO Reliability Strategy. The RE will work closely with the associated Maintenance and Operations organizations and other Zone Reliability Engineers to deliver the required reliability deliverables.

**Key Responsibilities to support:**

Develop/implement the Equipment Reliability Strategies and Facility Reliability Strategy.

+ Decrease equipment failure losses in order to meet the site Product Supply Reliability improvement goals for the given year.

+ Perform Root Cause Investigations for unplanned events to prevent recurrence and drive Root Cause Effectiveness initiatives.

+ Create facility reliability opportunity lists and close gaps by implementing solutions.

+ Lead Preventive and Predictive Maintenance (PPM) program development and optimization efforts including approving deferral of PPM

+ Support other locally identified Reliability Opportunities

+ Optimize MRO Spare Part Inventory to achieve working capital targets


+ Achieve the Product Supply Reliability targets for your unit

+ Improved reliability performance across units (Unplanned Event Performance)

+ Develop and Implement Equipment Reliability Strategies.

+ EH&S metrics: Zero OSHA recordables, LOPC and process safety incidents.

**Required Qualifications:**

+ A minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering is required.

+ A minimum of 3 years of Maintenance, Operations or Engineering work experience in a Chemical or Energy industry is required.

+ A minimum requirement for this U.S. based position is the ability to work legally in the United States. No visa sponsorship/support is available for this position, including for any type of U.S. permanent residency (green card) process.

**Preferred Qualifications**

+ Previous experience as a reliability engineer

+ A minimum of 6 years of Maintenance, Operations or Engineering work experience in a Chemical or Energy industry.

+ Prior experience with Meridium (GE APM) reliability analytics, Winsmith Weibull, and/or reliability modeling

+ Prior experience with Failure Modes and Effects Analysis (FMEA) and Root Cause Investigation (RCI)
