**Media Laboratory Technician**


Kelly Science and Clinical is currently recruiting for a temp-to-hire, full-time Media Laboratory Technician I in Lenexa, KS. The Media Laboratory Technician I will work directly with a range of technologies and equipment including batching tanks, scales, computer systems, integrity testers and filtration skids. This position will also work directly with media preparation, autoclaves, pH monitoring and sterilization techniques following aseptic technique and cGMP procedures.


**Responsibilities:**


+ Set up and turnaround of all process equipment

+ Prepare media components and solutions

+ Operate filtration systems up to and including integrity testing, pH adjustment, and calibration

+ Work with large stainless steel mixing vessels and aseptic Techniques

+ Operate general production equipment such as autoclaves, incubators, pumps, scales, and pH/conductivity meters

+ Operate multiple batching vessels up to and including CIP and SIP procedures

+ Perform daily cleaning and sanitation of the laboratories

+ Participate in writing standard operation procedures SOPs and batch production records BPRs

+ Document and maintain activity records according to cGMP regulations

+ Maintain an effective working relationship with others

**Qualifications/Education/Skills:**


+ Bachelors degree in Biology, Microbiology, Fermentation, Biochemistry, Biotechnology, or other related field and 0-2 years of work experience in a cGMP environment, **OR** Associate Degree in life-science field and at least 2-3 years of work experience in a cGMP environment, **OR** High School Diploma or equivalent and/or at least 5-years of work experience in a cGMP environment related to scientific, animal field work, or in lab environment

+ Excellent oral and written communication, interpersonal, organization skills, and time-management skills

+ Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office applications

+ Good self-discipline and attention to details

+ Must be able to follow proper documentation procedures

+ Must be able to work both independently and in a fast pace team environment

+ Good math and computer skills


**Physical Requirements** :


+ Prolonged standing, with some bending, stooping, pushing, pulling, and reaching above shoulders

+ Able to lift up to 50lbs

+ Daily dressing and operating in clean room with required garments


Pay: : $18/hr with up to $4500 total sign on bonus; this role will start as temporary and go permanent after a brief period per performance review take advantage of this wonderful opportunity today!!!


**Hours:** 7AM 530PM, Thursday Sunday **OR** 9AM 530PM, Monday - Friday


**Must be willing to work OT when necessary**
