We're seeking for a **Medical Biller** for a premier personalized local healthcare provider located in **Bridgewater MA.**


**Job Title:** **Third Party Biller**


**Location:** **Bridgewater, MA**


**Pay Rate:** **$18/hr. to $21/hr. (Depending on experience)**


**Shift:** **Mon-Fri 8-4:30pm**


**Terms of Employment:** **Permanent Direct-Hire**


**Job description:**


+ Under the direction of the Manager of Third-Party billing, perform third party research functions.

+ Sort and mail all bills HCFA 1500 attaching any required documentation needed to receive payment i.e. EOB for other secondary insurance, cost invoice, operative notes, etc.

+ Review rejection/denials from insurance carriers to determine what actions have been taken.

+ Account resolution may require calling insurance carriers, patients, lawyers, physician offices, medical records and other third parties.

+ Work claims edits to fix claims that are not accepted by the payers electronically. Review aged trial balance and research outstanding patient accounts.

+ Handle all additional follow-up required to get a claim processed and paid.

+ Perform administrative duties when necessary, such as photocopying, faxing and filing documents.

+ Attend department meetings to provide feedback to management.

+ Work as a team with other staff members such as coding and payment posting staff to improve communication and resolve problems.

+ Perform administrative duties when necessary, such as photocopying, faxing and filing documents.

+ Demonstrates respect and regard for the dignity of all patients, families, visitors, and fellow employees to ensure a professional, responsible, and courteous environment.

+ Commits to recognize and respect cultural diversity for all customers internal and external.

+ Communicates effectively with internal and external customers with respect of differences in cultures, values, beliefs and ages, utilizing interpreters when needed.

+ Participates in LEAN program continuous performance improvement program training and leads staff in utilizing LEAN concepts and methodologies. Performs other duties as assigned.


**Required knowledge skills:**


+ Ability to work independently and take initiative.

+ Good judgment and problem-solving skills; Communication skills; Interpersonal and organizational skills.

+ Level of confidentiality

+ Strong communication skills that ensure the ability to deal effectively and tactfully with patients, insurance carriers and other employees.

+ Knowledge of modern office equipment, systems and procedures.

+ Ability to operate computers and navigate the internet.


**Education:**


+ High School Diploma or Equivalent.


**Experience:**


+ 1-3 years Medical Billing III.


**Certification/Licensure:**


+ NA IV.


**Software/Hardware:**


+ Microsoft Office and ability to navigate the internet; GE/IDX preferred V.
