Description **Kelly Services** is seeking a **Biomedical Field Service Engineer Technician** to support a medical device upgrade with a leading healthcare company in the hospital industry. This is an immediate need for a 6 month project or longer at various hospital sites and will involve extensive travel within Iowa, South Dakota, Missouri and Minnesota **.**

The Technician will perform electronic device upgrades at various hospital facilities, typically Monday through Friday, 8a-5p. The duration of assignment is expected through July with the possibility of an extension depending on the project need. Pay is $25.00/hr.

Mileage is reimbursed. Valid driver’s license is required, as well as own transportation. Travel expenses requiring overnight stays will be covered.

**Position Summary**

Performs simple electro-mechanical product, assembly and testing operations on assemblies or sub-assemblies. This position may require experience using various tools, including: torque drivers, template/fixtures, hand carts, simple measuring and testing equipment, storage/packaging materials and prescribed safety equipment.

Follows guidelines to ensure product specifications and tolerance levels are met during the assembly process. Must be able to use basic functionality of computers.

**Essential Duties & Responsibilities**

+ Perform rework on electro-mechanical devices which includes: disassembly / re-assembly, testing, packaging and unpacking of devices
+ Collect and record test data
+ Follow released / approved work instructions.
**Knowledge, Skills & Qualifications**

+ Must be familiar with computer operations (i.e. input data, reading work instructions on-line, etc.)
+ **Self-Motivated and able to work independently and in a team environment**
+ **Flexibility to work overtime on as-needed basis**
+ Ability to comprehend and respond to verbal and written instructions/plant documents
+ Good manual dexterity and hand eye coordination
+ Ability to maintain concentration while performing repetitive tasks
**Education and Experience**

+ High School diploma or GED equivalent.
+ Assembly experience in a manufacturing environment is a plus.
**Minimum Qualifications**

+ Must be at least 18 years of age
+ Must pass pre-employment drug screen and background check
**Travel Requirements**

+ Regional Travel required including overnights when daily travel exceeds 1 hr. Must be able to secure hotel accommodations initially and later be reimbursed.
+ Position is project based at remote regional worksites (hospitals).
+ Must have a vehicle to travel to these locations including a valid driver’s license.
**Vendor Credentialing**

+ Must be eligible to comply with work policies as required by the local site thru their vendor credentialing site.
**Physical Requirements and Work Environment**

+ Must have high level of hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity to work with electro-mechanical medical devices.
+ Must be able to lift 30-40 lbs.
+ Must be able to sit for extended periods of time.
+ Work is performed in a mfg type / repair floor environment.
