Entry level QC Microbiology Lab Tech

**_Day Shift -_**


Louisville KY


Daily responsibilities:


Performing sample media preparation, sample preparation, sample analysis, and data entry


Test drinking water samples, surface water, food product and environmental swabs


Prepare necessary standards, solutions, reagents, media, and samples for sample analyses


Perform equipment and instrumentation set up


Record observations and data and basic interpretation of data


Monitor and address sample backlog issues


Maintain accurate, up to date logs, notebooks and equipment records


Perform laboratory administrative functions such as filing paperwork, photocopying, reviewing of data, and entering data


REQUIREMENTS:


Microbiology degree or 1 year microbiology laboratory experience


Basic knowledge of principles, terminology, practices, and techniques in environmental testing


Ability to effectively prioritize work and manage time to meet deadlines and rush orders


Ability to work independently as needed


Ability to communicate effectively in both written and verbal formats
