Kelly Scientific is seeking a **Scientist** for a Direct Hire opportunity. The Scientist will develop methods to manipulate T-cell costimulatory and co-inhibitory pathways to generate autologous tumor infiltrating lymphocytes (TIL) with significant anti-tumor activity for therapy, identifying neoepitopes derived from the tumor mutanome, as well as developing genetically-engineered TIL with enhanced _in vivo_ persistence and therapeutic activity.



**APPLICANTS MUST HAVE:**




+ PhD in Immunology, Cell Biology, or related field with 0-2 years relevant experience.

+ or a Masters in Immunology, Cell Biology, or related field with 8-12 years relevant experience.

+ The ability to work independently and be innovative

+ Must be able to contribute ideas and stay on top of industry trends

+ Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills



**Specific Responsibilities:**




+ General molecular biology experiments such as ligations, restriction enzyme digests, PCR, etc.

+ Generate TIL and maintain primary and tumor cell lines.

+ Generate transient and stable primary cells and tumor cells lines using a variety of techniques including electroporation and viral transduction.

+ Optimize gene integration and gene editing techniques

+ Carry out functional immunological assays and perform biomarker analysis using techniques such as ELISAs and flow cytometry, respectively.

+ Support Research and take on independent projects as well as participate in project teams.



**Education and Qualifications**




+ Requires PhD in Immunology, Cell Biology, or related field with 0-2 years relevant experience. Or, Masters in Immunology, Cell Biology, or related field with 8-12 years relevant experience.

+ Prior experience with molecular biology and mammalian cell culture techniques.

+ Success running and completing the goals of an independent project

+ Success working in cross disciplinary highly communicative teams.

+ Experience with flow cytometry and basic knowledge of T cell immunology.

+ Experience with mammalian transfection and viral transduction techniques is a plus.
