**Network Engineer**

**Location:** Everette, WA

**Duration:** Full-Time/Direct Hire

Kelly Technology is currently recruiting for a Network Engineer to work on-site in Everette, WA. The ideal candidate will have strong background with Cisco Network Technologies (switches, firewalls ASA, Meraki, ect.), Active Directory, and Vmware.


The Network Engineer is accountable for designing, implementing and managing the network infrastructure. This position will oversee the continuous and secure operation, performance and evolution of the network and telecommunications infrastructure; and work to ensure projects and company initiatives are conducted according to enterprise information technology and security requirements and standards. This position will lead security-centric network design, establishing and enforcing technology standards and assisting with all levels of network administration, from innovating new technologies to operations support, while maintaining and improving security surrounding critical data and infrastructure.

**Essential Duties and Responsibilities**

+ Leads the performance of day-to-day networking tasks to ensure network reliability, availability and serviceability, with minimal interruption.

+ Monitors enterprise-wide network systems performance and troubleshoots problem areas, as needed. Oversees configuration and firmware/software process for enterprise-wide routers, switches, communications appliances and wide-area network to maintain consistent configuration.

+ Provides support, responds to IT service desk tickets from the users, analyzes and resolves reported technical problems.

+ Acts as a resource for IT department, system vendors, business partners and other personnel, with problem identification and resolution, in all enterprise-wide network technologies.

+ Leads network technology upgrade or expansion projects, including installation of hardware, software and integration testing, as well as coordinating these activities with other technology staff. Leads design and implementation projects involving next generation network technologies including communications convergence and virtualization solution delivery.

+ Evaluates the network technology architecture and develops required presentations and documentation for all technical processes (installation, network topology, troubleshooting, system shutdown and start-up processes). Responsible for maintaining documentation drawings, designs for WAN, LAN and VPN architecture enterprise-wide.

+ Leads in design engineering of enterprise-wide network systems to provide optimized applications and communications performance transport and high-availability across the network infrastructure.

+ Evaluates business continuity plans and implements the operational failover, including recovery testing, of enterprise-wide network systems, as required. Reviews recovery plans routinely and assists with the execution and appropriate remedial action to address any deficiencies.

+ Actively contributes and executes ideas for process improvements and cost savings

+ Presents a competent and composed demeanor, representing the company with professionalism to all stakeholders (including but not limited to applicants, employees, contractors, vendors, and customers) to successfully advance the interests of the company

+ Follows all environmental health and safety policies and procedures, models safe work practices

+ Responsible for contributing to and supporting a positive and respectful workplace environment.

**Education and/or Experience**

+ Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent

+ Minimum of four years computer systems programming and integration experience


+ 4+ years of network design, administration and maintenance in a multi-site enterprise network with Cisco networking technologies

+ In-depth experience with switches, load-balancers, firewalls, VPN and routers, routing protocols.

+ Advanced knowledge of enterprise wireless and cellular network technologies.

+ Advanced knowledge of Windows Operating systems and VMware virtual infrastructure.

+ Familiarity with Office 365 and MS Azure cloud infrastructure.

+ Ability to implement, administer, and troubleshoot network infrastructure devices.

+ Ability to create network diagrams and documentation for design and planning network communication systems.

+ Good analytical and problem-solving skills.

+ Dependable and flexible when necessary, available during after-hours for on-site support

+ Familiarity with NIST 800-171 and CMMC cybersecurity controls

+ Diverse knowledge of Network hardware, software and programming principles

+ Proficient in at least one high level language and knowledge of assemble language is desirable

+ Must have good verbal and written communication skills

+ Requires a high degree of initiative, creative ability, independent judgment, programming and project management skills
