Description **Network/System Engineer**

**Full-time (OR contract to hire if preferred)**

**Salary is negotiable/based on experience (70-90k/yr range)**

Kelly IT Resources is working wtih our prestigious client, a highly successfully, local Network Solution Consulting Company, located near the borders of the East Bay and North Bay here in The San Fracisco Bay Area. We are working directly with the CTO of the company who is urgently looking to expand their field consulting team and seeking to bring on-board a highly driven, self-motivated, problem solver, and lover of learning/conitnuing tehnical advancement and education, to this elite team of full-time consultants. In this role you would have the opportunity to work on a variety of exciting local, client-site and remote network and system solution projects hands-on, have the opportunity to be mentored by an incredbily knowledgeble/experienced staff, and continue to receive education and cert achievement while working!

They are looking to interview IMMEDIATELY!!! This Network/System Engineer will provide onsite & remote IT support to company users revolving around both hardware and software issues and solution deployments.

**Network/System Engineer Areas of Responsibilities:**

**1. Local IT Support**

+ Solving Hardware/Software malfunctions
+ Resolve Tier 1 & 2 technical issues
+ Provide support to onsite and remote users
+ Implement IT Projects including Windows OS, Wi-Fi, Ethernet and Equipment Analysis
+ Perform Asset Management and inventory reconciliations
**2. Domain/Server Admin**

+ Making sure all Users and Computers correspond to each other through ADUC
+ Creating new Users in ADUC and assigning correct permissions
**3. Hardware and Software Expertise**

+ Configure and updating workstations.
+ Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
**Network/System Engineer List of Skills & Abilities (Looking for individuals with a combination/mix of the experiences and requirements listed below)**

+ 3 years’ experience required (CCNA preferred!!)
+ Systems administration - Microsoft Server 2008,2012, 2016. Active directory, DNS, DHCP, Windows 7,8,10 desktop support.
+ Some knowledge of VMware, Hyper-V technologies.
+ Basic network troubleshooting - Cisco routers and switches.
+ Palo Alto Networks firewall experience a plus.
+ 1-2 years solving Tier I & II problems in an IT environment.
+ Strong documentation skills
+ Strong communication skills: must be able to communicate project status updates, project changes, and IT infrastructure changes to all users.
+ Additionally, must be able to present information in a clear, calm and concise manner.
+ Basic knowledge of PC and Network hardware
+ TCP/IP troubleshooting skills
+ Virtualization experience
+ Office 365 basic administration
+ Understanding of VPN
+ Working knowledge of networking and security systems, including developing, configuring, supporting, and optimizing networking hardware, software, and related technologies
+ Working knowledge of networking standards, protocols, security, troubleshooting, and performance tuning
+ Working knowledge of network services such as DHCP and DNS
+ Working knowledge of Microsoft and Linux operating systems and virtualization tools such as VMWare and Microsoft Hyper-V as well as desktop software such as Microsoft Office suite
+ Enterprise routing and switching (layer 2 and layer 3)
+ Basic understanding of Data Center network design concepts
+ Understanding of basic RF concepts
+ Understanding of cabling technologies to include CAT6E, Single-Mode and Multi-Mode fiber technologies.
+ Configuration and maintenance of Network Security devices to include but not limited to Cisco and Palo Alto Firewalls
+ Understanding of network management and performance monitoring systems and protocols to include SNMP and Netflow
**Network/System Engineer Additional Requirements**

+ Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and ability to kneel and squat.
