Description The **Network/Transportation Project Manager** is responsible for the overall success of the company. This is a leadership position with project management responsibility that not only requires a deep understanding of supply chain and optimization concepts, but the ability to apply working knowledge, to teach others to achieve business results. The Supply Chain Operations Manager leads and owns the logistics planning and execution functions within the account. This role supports the Director of the business unit and is critical to the success of the company


**Responsibility for all planning activities for the assigned customer**

o Strategic planning of logistics and transportation networks

o Analysis and evaluation of supply chain data, processes and networks

o Continuous transportation and network optimization

o Development and implementation of transportation optimization processes

o Active change management to onboard clients

o Project management

o Daily transport optimization and assignment in time as well as transportation exception management and invoice checking or self-billing processes

o Regular customer communication on project status

o Management of the carrier cooperation and integration

o Logistics performance and cost controlling/ reporting

o Initiate and support continuous improvement activities

You will also be responsible for:

+ Developing and leading all involved team members
+ Supporting Recruitment Processes
+ Participate in and actively support the company’s training & development program
+ Represent the company at marketing and campus recruitment events
Professional requirements and expertise:

+ Bachelor’s or master’s degree preferably in industrial engineering or (international) business studies (ideally with a major in logistics/SCM)
+ 5 - 8 years of relevant work experience in **network planning/optimization** and/or **transportation logistics in an international corporation** in the automotive industry or with a logistics service provider
+ Profound knowledge in the field of **logistics/SCM**
+ Sound knowledge of **transportation management** procedures and system
+ International experience working or studying abroad
+ Strong project management skills
+ Leadership abilities
+ Native English communication skills (written and spoken)
