We are seeking an individual to work as a Neuroscience Data Program Analyst at the National Institutes of Health in Rockville, MD.

This is a long-term contract position which offers:

**TASKS/SERVICES** . The contractor shall:

(1) Provide administrative and technical support to program staff working on BRAIN, National Cooperative Reprogrammed Cell Research Groups (NCGCRGs), and other complex cooperative research networks.

(2) Act as point of contact for BRAIN Initiative Cell Census Network (BICCN) and National Cooperative Reprogrammed Cell Research Groups (NCRCRGs).

(3) Provide technical recommendations and assist with data management for the BICCN and NCRCRGs.

(4) Provide support for the coordination, implementation and monitoring of scientific programs and activities.

(5) Develop meeting agendas for Program working group meetings and other Program related meetings.

(6) Collaborate with program staff to develop drafts of Funding Opportunity Announcements (FOAs) and Contract Solicitations; monitor and track the initiative approval process for relevant RFAs, RFPs and PAs.

(7) Read, draft, analyze, and condense material from a variety of sources for presentations and reports; conduct portfolio analyses using various NIH databases.

(8) Research and present materials such as tables, graphs, slides and overheads by assimilating data as requested by NIH leaders and program staff; prepare materials and supplement content for announcements for Contract Solicitations, Program Announcements, and social media and other public websites.

(9) Initiate and support outreach efforts to promote the Program, grantees and federal staff in-person and as an online presence; utilize social media venues in compliance with NIH regulations.

(10) Arrange seminars and workshops to assess the current state-of-the-art science of brain atlas, cell census and stem cell research; facilitate collaborative efforts with NIH Institutes and Centers and other governmental and non-governmental agencies, including public-private partnerships.

(11) Coordinate and organize web-based and in-person meetings for the BICCN and NCRCRG consortia; assess and operate different virtual meeting software capabilities to match meeting agendas, data presentations, web-based tool demonstrations, serial or concurrent panel/breakout sessions, and poster sessions.

(12) Track and analyze changes in policy and procedures related to Program management and proactively inform Program staff of their implications; provide recommendations.

(13) Work with NIMH-supported website programming team to update relevant program websites; create content for website and recommend additions or changes; implement quality assurance by verifying that information is accurate and properly displayed.

(14) Develop and implement studies of performance measures to evaluate program productivity; develop metrics and milestones to assess progress of the program relevant to NCRCRGs.

**REQUIREMENTS** . The contractor must have:

(1) Masters degree or Ph.D. in a related discipline; three (3) years of specialized experience plus a Bachelors degree is equivalent to a Masters degree.

(2) Minimum of four (4) years of related experience that includes genomic, proteomic, high content imaging, and/or electrophysiology data.

(3) Background in biology, genetics, neuroscience, and/or bioinformatics. Experience in pharmacology and therapeutics development is a plus.

(4) Skill in data analysis and management (e.g. data governance, data architecture, metadata, data integration, and interoperability), preparation of spreadsheets, and Microsoft Office Suite (MS Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).

(5) Skill in operating and fully exploiting capabilities of virtual meeting applications.

(6) Skill in collecting and analyzing both text and numerical data from the internet and other resources

(7) Ability to produce graphical and tabular representations of complex data for presentation and use by Program staff.
