**POSITION PURPOSE**

The purpose of this role is to lead business critical activities relating to the development and commercialization of nonwoven materials. The Nonwovens Engineer is a high visibility position that is the primary technical contact for our suppliers and internal manufacturing sites for the optimization, development and commercialization of wet wipes. The Nonwoven Engineer will work with a broad range of manufacturing and technical resources at our suppliers and internal manufacturing sites to support achieving our objectives. In addition, the Nonwovens Engineer will lead the day to day testing to determine the performance of nonwovens and finished product and will coordinate the testing of the suppliers and internal lab support.

**ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND BASIC DUTIES**


1. Analyze data and provide insights and recommendations based on the data
2. Support material or process projects from conception through commercialization.
3. Plan and carry out projects with direction from management.
4. Communicate and document project plans to internal teams.
5. Deliver on project objectives in the initiation, design, development, and optimization of Nonwoven Fabrics/Laminates after receiving functional guidance.
6. Seek, recognize, define, and solve problems to achieve unit objectives. Identify complex technical issues to determine root cause, develop and recommend solutions.
7. Develops and tests new wet wipe prototypes to support the growth objectives of the business
8. Tests products and prototypes, comparing to benchmarks or competitor products for marketing presentations, laboratory evaluation, consumer and clinical testing
9. Support product scale up and line trials
10. Analyses competitor products and evaluates raw materials used
11. Identifies opportunities and makes recommendations for prototype development

1. Deliver on commercialization and optimization of nonwovens and finished product
2. Delivery of reports and analysis in a timely manner
3. Creates accurate reports with reliable data

**QUALIFICATIONS**

**EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION:**


Minimum Bachelor's Degree in Science or Engineering discipline from an accredited college or university


**REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE:**


Strong scientific principles(statistical analysis, Design of Experiments, Problem solving, root cause analysis)

Understanding of nonwovens, nonwovens manufacturing processes and the nonwovens supply chain


**EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:**



+ Preferred but not required to have experience in a technical function, manufacturing, R&D or related technical function pertaining to materials and processes within the nonwoven and wipes supply chain (fibers, polymers, etc.)
+ Consumer Package Goods experience an advantage
