Seeking an Operations Support Customer Service Technician III for a industrial company located in Sulphur/Lake Charles area.

General Job Description:

The role of the Operations Support Customer Service Technician is to provide technical assistance to the company's employees in the use of Information Technology in a friendly, reliable, and dependable manner. This includes but is not limited to processing incidents and requests from start to completion in customer service, professional and friendly matter. The employee will utilize a combination of internal and external resources with the soul function of being the main point of contact for these service requests. This position reports directly to the Operations Support Manager.

Functional Requirements:

- Address users in a friendly, courteous and professional manner at all times.

- Answer, evaluate and prioritize incoming voice and electronic customer requests.

- Document all information given and received in the service desk application to track calls, emails, walk-ups and project tasks.

- Manage time and assignments efficiently to complete all ongoing projects, tasks and deliverables.

- Load and configure company standard image on all new and existing computers.

- Assist in maintaining accurate inventory of computers, peripherals and software including but not limited to keeping records updated as needed in help desk system.

- Adhere to all company and operations support policies, procedures and standards.

- Advise and instruct end users on the necessary activities to achieve solutions and minimize call back.

- Answer client-s inquires in person and/or via telephone concerning computer issues including hardware, software, and network.

- Install hardware and peripheral components including but not limited to monitors, keyboards, printers, modems, and hard drives.

- Participate in on call rotation as assigned.

- Diagnose hardware, software, and operator challenges and recommend and/or perform necessary actions to correct challenges based on knowledge of computer issues.

- Work effectively and professionally in a less supervised capacity in the absence of a Supervisor, Manager or Director.

- Call hardware and software vendors to request service regarding defective products.

- Read trade magazines and attend approved trade shows, seminars, conferences, and training to stay current on technology.

- Re-assign tickets that cannot be resolved by Help Desk staff to appropriate team within the Information Technology Department.

- Any other specific duties assigned.

Project will last from 2 weeks to 2 months

**Requirements**

Qualification Standards:

- Must be a customer service minded professional.

- Must possess excellent communication, interpersonal, organizational and problem solving skills.

- Pass the required safety courses and comply with all required safety guidelines for OSHA, TWIC and site specific standards.

- Maintain a current valid Louisiana Driver-s license.

- Meet Operations Support customer service standards.

- Minimum High School Diploma or GED Equivalent plus 2 years of secondary education or equivalent work experience.

- Minimum 2+ years- experience in Computer Support Role.

- Credentials Preferred.

- Some knowledge of microcomputer hardware and common software applications such as Microsoft Office;

- Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing

- Understand and execute oral and written instructions, and organize workload

- Have excellent interpersonal skills, be able to listen, understand and analyze problems over the phone is preferred but not necessary.
