**JOB TITLE: Customer Service Representative**

**WORK HOURS: M - F, 8:00am - 5:00pm 60 minute lunch/day but times vary as**

**PAY: $18-20**

**LOCATION: Carol Stream, IL**

**DURATION: Contract to hire**

**ENVIRONMENT** : Office environment & limited exposure to warehouse environment; exposure to dirt, dust, solvents, oils, grease, and external temperatures in warehouse.


Enter customer order as received from customers. Orders will be sent in daily by customers, either by EDI, Fax or Email. Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) is a program that is used daily. It is used to receive orders and forecasting information as well as advanced shipping notices to our customers. Customer service is responsible for keeping customers happy to the best of your ability. Customer service is to help and assist the customer with any and all needs. Assist in working as part of a cross-functional team to inform and communicate with all appropriate departments. Communication internal and externally is important. Assisting in keeping up on customer parts information such as, but not limited to, program information for each part, build out information, obsolete parts, and increase and/or decrease in parts, the end of production scheduling.


+ Enter customers orders current and future

+ Print all orders for the warehouse to pick and ship

+ Maintain customer releases and gather forecasting for purchasing

+ Maintain all aspects of EDI (orders, forecasting, ASN)(through Gentran and Navision)

+ Create Sales orders as they come over through Gentran, Fax, and Email

+ Daily check for any hot parts Maintain parts information

+ Print the invoices and match to pick lists Contact Customer when part information is needed

+ Enter and update Customer contracts in Navision Use the Navision Forecast Monitor program

+ Maintain Customer files

+ Plating and rework (send out and receive in)

+ Monitor customer releases based on historical usage and EMU/EAU, than question any deviations from normal usage levels. Contact customer and get a firm reply why the deviation occurred in writing - e-mail ok and notify Commercial function

+ The end of production scheduling form should be sent to gather necessary information to ensure control of inventory quantities at EOP, 5-6 months prior to EOP event.

+ Request and insist on a minimum of 3 month firm orders with 3 months forecasting.

+ Contact customers and update the above information and if help is needed to obtain above information discuss with Operations Manager for help.


+ 1-3 years similar experience with Customer Service

+ Excellent oral, reading and writing skills.

+ Ability to communicate professionally with people of all levels in the organization and external contacts.

+ Strong organizational and planning skills

+ Excellent time management skills

+ Understanding that situations of our customers and be able to work with customer to resolve.

+ Computer skills with MS Office

+ Experience in a manufacturing and or automotive environment a plus
