Order Entry Customer Service

Job Summary: The order entry and customer service specialist is responsible for managing incoming purchase orders, interfacing with customers, entering sales orders, creating work orders, and assisting with procurement and stockroom activities as needed.


Strong attention to detail and accuracy a must

Strong communication skills and customer service experience

Able to think and reason independently, with supervisory assistance as questions arise.

Strong Data Entry 40+ wpm/10 key skills (accuracy a must)

MS Office and MAS200 Experience

Purchasing and Inventory experience requested

Can handle fast pace environment

Ability to multi-task

Understands BOMs and Routings related to production workorders

Ability to organize and maintain stock room inventory levels

Strong teamwork skills

Min 2 years related experience


Act as a liaison with customers to address their needs and concerns

Adherence to internal quality standards and documented procedures

Create quotations & sales orders (SO) in Sage 100

Produce purchase order (PO) acknowledgements

Create and process work orders (WO) for various internal customers and interact with department supervisors to ensure strict accuracy

Maintain vigilance of issues related to material shortages, expirations, or lead times

Kits stockroom parts per production work order bills of material and generate documentation as needed

Facilitate the annual customer survey process

Inspect and sign for deliveries when needed

Analyze & mitigate risks that arise with product or any hardware deliveries

Responsible for vendor notifications via fax or email

Assist with shipping and receiving responsibilities as needed to ensure customer deliveries ship on time and with all documents required

Ability to interact with individuals from various departments to ensure quick resolution to issues as they arise

Other responsibilities as required


High School graduate with some college experience

Physical Demands: Ability to lift up to 30-45 pounds, requires sitting, standing, walking.

Work Environment: Stockroom, production area, office and business environment.
