Today, we are proud to offer a long term temporary part time opportunity to work as a Stock and Material Handler for an auto parts distribution company in NE Portland, Oregon.

Part Time positions are reserved for STUDENTS attending an accredited college/university. Class schedule, credits, and grades can be required to verify proof of enrollment.

Schedule:

Monday-Friday 2:30pm-6:30pm $12.00/hr

Description of Position:

After completion of proper training, a Stock & Material Handler moves material through the parts center using material handling equipment such as order pickers, forklifts, stock chasers, tugs and picking carts as directed by the supervisor or leadperson.

General Duties:

o Fill orders by retrieving parts from inventory.

o Copy numbers, codes or other information onto shipping/receiving documents.

o Pack materials or products into shipping containers.

o Seal, wrap and label containers.

o Unload, verify & inspect incoming product & supplies for proper quantities and defects.

o Stock locations based on established policy & procedures.

Qualifications:

o High school diploma or equivalency

o Ability to perform physical activities such as, standing, walking and lifting product up to 50 lbs.

o Ability to work with detail (e.g., checking numbers, comparing lists.)

o Ability to identify flaws and defects.

o Knowledge of proper packaging methods.

o Ability to write legibly.

o Ability to perform repetitive work.

o Knowledge of safety requirements or procedures, including certification for machine operation.

o Ability to count accurately.

o Ability to use arm and hand movements to handle materials and product.
