Relaro Medical Trials is an independent research clinic located in Dallas.  We are passionate about our work and celebrate the positive impact we have on the lives of our patients because we are very clear that we played a part in those changes… and it feels amazing.  

As a result of an influx of new business, we are adding a Patient Recruitment & Retention Specialist (PRRS) to our team. This person will be exceptional, both professionally and personally, and therefore our search may take a while.

This perfect candidate possesses a high level of integrity and demonstrates ethical behavior at all times. This person does not become overwhelmed when “in the weeds,” because he/she knows how to get out of them. This person is willing to step outside of her/his comfort zone, create and share new ideas…even if she/he thinks the idea sounds foolish, and collaborate to find solutions. Responsibilities

  • Development and implementation of comprehensive and targeted recruitment campaigns to identify high quality patients;
  • Serving as a subject matter expert to support the management of recruitment efforts retention practices for all studies;
    • Prioritizing workload so that all enrollment timelines are met;  
    • Capable of working both independently and on a team;
    • Creating recruitment materials and submitting them for IRB approval;
    • Creating, evaluating and managing recruitment program metrics and timelines 
  • Engaging with community outreach groups and other resources such as mental health agencies, support groups, and key community leaders;
  • Development and maintenance of a solid knowledge base for all study protocols, with an emphasis on inclusion/exclusion criteria, HIPAA compliance, human subject research regulations, and Good Clinical Practice Guidelines;
  • Establishing and maintaining professional relationships with community resources, our doctors and sponsors while representing Relaro in a professional manner;

Requirements

Personal Skills

The PRRS is responsible for finding patients who want to participate in our studies and meet the study pre-eligibility criteria.  To properly assess someone’s potential eligibility, you must be able to engage patients in discussions about their disorders.  These conversations, which are conducted on the phone, often result in discussions surrounding extremely personal information. Due to the sensitive nature of these conversations, you must be able to authentically demonstrate empathy while maintaining professional boundaries. In addition, the following skills are required:

  • Exuding positivity and enthusiasm over the phone, with the ability to adjust when necessary;
  • Engaging demeanor that encourages a feeling of comfort and trust; 
  • Action-oriented work ethic;
  • Being self-motivated and adaptable;
  • Being able to handle rejection and respond professionally; 
  • Having effective written and oral communication skills, using professional language and appropriate demeanor with potential patients;
  • Having experience working with psychiatric patients is preferred

Requirements

  • Ability to think on your feet in order to find immediate solutions to challenges;
  • Detail-oriented with superior organization and documentation skills;
  • High sense of urgency;
  • Knowledge of the advertising platforms for Facebook, Instagram, Snapchat and TikTok; 
  • Ability to work independently with minimal follow-up required; 
  • Desire to seek new opportunities for professional development;
  • Strives for and demonstrates personal growth;
  • Ability to take direction and comply with internal policies;
  • Highly creative thinker who is unafraid to take risks;
  • Experience in clinical research trials and medical knowledge of multiple conditions preferred, not required;
  • Willing and able to take constructive feedback and make appropriate changes;
  • Ability to comprehend and retain information found in our protocols and quickly draw on this knowledge in rapidly evolving situations;
  • Demonstrates professionalism in communication with colleagues and patients;
  • Knowledge of HIPAA compliance and federal regulations on Human Subjects Research and Good Clinical Practice Guidelines preferred, not required;
  • Proficient with common software programs (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, etc.);
  • Fluent in verbal and written English; 
  • Ability to handle a high volume of incoming and outgoing calls, including cold calling;
  • Bachelor's Degree (Highly Preferred) in Business, Sociology, Psychology, or other applicable field
  • Valid Driver’s License
  • Authorization to work in the United States
  • This is NOT a remote position
