Kelly Financial Resources is actively seeking an experienced Payroll Administrator for our well respected and establsihed client located in the Arlington VA area. Our client continues to rapidly grow within their specialized industry and is a leader within the cruise, military, offshore oil/gas and commercial ship markets. The payroll administrator will processe payroll in ADP Workforce Now (Global would be a plus) and have expereince in International payroll processing across the U.S and International markets. Must have an HR background with expereince in benefits tracking and onboarding processes. Interantional travel will also apply to this position 15%-20%. You will be part of a dynamic team and culture. The ideal candidate will bring 5-6 yrs expereince with to be a success in this exciting opportunity. The position is located in an upscale area close to coffe shops, Ronald Regean Airport and the Metro station. Relocation package is available to qualified candidates.

Key Responsibilities:


+ Multi-state payroll for 1000+ employees on a biweekly basis, reviewing and ensuring teh accuracy of approved timesheets; garnishments and other special payroll deductions,using ADP Workforce Now Global.
+ Must have a strong understanding of payroll laws and international payroll. Have previous experience with employee relations, garnishments, payroll taxes, etc. HR Benefits Tracking, including PTO, 401K tracking/loans.
+ Responsible for the coordination efforts between payroll, human resources, budget and other departments to ensure proper flow and maintenance of employee data (including preparation/distribution of detailed reports, e.g. labor" home" work, overtime, leave balances, head count, and retirement contribution reports)
+ Establish/maintain employee records; ensure that employee changes are entered correctly and made on a timely basis; review changes for proper authorization and adherence to all compliance with federal/state/local regulations
+ Responsible for annual 401K non-discrimination testing and auditing in coordination with 401K administrators for 5500 filing.
+ 401K distribution approvals.
+ Handle Short Term and Long Term disability claims and payouts.
+ Handle the administration of the electronic timekeeping system. Setup each employee, valid programs for each employee's charges, and adherence to FLSA; monitor submissions of approved timesheets, ensure valid data transfers to/from payroll service
+ Travel required ~15% first year and 25%-40% subsequent years.
Required Qualifications:


+ Associate Degree in Business Administration/Finance required, Accounting Degree preferred
+ Five plus years in a Payroll Office performing all payroll functions
+ Strong skills using ADP Workforce Now Global.
+ Strong understanding of payroll laws in multistate, especially California.
+ Strong understanding of international payroll (Sweden, China, Norway, Korea, UK, Japan, Denmark, Netherlands, Italy, and Poland)
+ Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise extreme discretion
+ Excellent problem solving/judgment skills, and high level of attention to detail and accuracy
+ Strong organizational skills, and the ability to work under pressure
+ Ability to handle and prioritize multiple tasks and meet all deadlines
+ Excellent skills using MS Word, Excel, Access, and Internet Explorer
+ Strong skills using and understanding the flow of transactions in an integrated and automated payroll accounting system
