**Payroll Clerk - Temp to HIRE!!**


Under minimal supervision executes the scheduling of manpower for Glass hourly employees. Tracks and generates reports related to employee training, attendance and vacation scheduling.


**Temp to Hire!!** **This is a rotating shift job, it is 12 hour shifts & includes weekends.**


**Pay: $18.00/hr**


**Duration: 6 months Temp to HIRE!**


**Essential Functions**


This job description reflects managements assignment of essential functions; it does not prescribe or


restrict the tasks that may be assigned.


-Partners with manufacturing and warehouse leaders regarding running lines and all staffing needs


for the shift and support leaders in completing daily line ups.


-Identifies and communicates the need for overtime to the employee population; ensures adequate


scheduled manpower to meet overtime needs.


-Posts manning schedule in designated areas.


-Coordinates scheduling with operations; adjusts manning as appropriate.


-Completes shift summary using absence report.


-Notes and reports attendance incidents.


-Coordinates training activities and support manufacturing in scheduling employees.


-Completes payroll spreadsheet indicating daily shift status and pay of hourly employees.


-Enters accurate timecard correction information into ADP for payroll processing.


-Tracks and schedules hourly vacations and reports out on status.


-Conducts training to hourly and leaders on completion of vacation requests, absence forms and


timecard correction forms.


-Resolves most questions and problems, and refers only the most complex issues to higher levels.


-Provides support to Human Resources and Plant Leaders regarding the daily and weekly payroll


process for the union work force.


-Answers questions for the union work force with regard to time and attendance, and other non-HR


related customer service issues.


-Coordinates with employees to gauge interest in OT and logs and tracks OT hours offered.


-Coordinates with management and security to run quarterly mock fire drills per shift.


-Processes safety shoe payments for hourly employees and enters data into HRM.


-Completes safety glass order forms and provides to hourly members.


-Assigns lockers and performs regular locker audits.


-Notifies hourly employees and leaders of received service awards and tracks award and receipt of


award on spreadsheet.


-Tracks and submits wine orders for journeymen and notifies them of receipt.


-Posts various notices on plant communication boards.


-Files relevant materials in hourly personnel files and/or absenteeism files.


-Orders office supplies and maintains adequate levels of office consumables.


-Performs data entry and insures the accurate maintenance of computerized files for future


reference in a variety of programs.


-Produces reports as required.


-Photocopies, scans, compiles records, files, posts information and distributes mail.


-Completes administrative duties as requested by customers.


-Maintains satisfactory attendance, to include timeliness.


-Responsible for understanding and complying with applicable quality, environmental and safety


regulatory considerations.


-Responsible for understanding and complying with applicable GFMP policy, quality, environmental


and safety regulatory, CBA and policy and procedure requirements.

**Qualifications**

**Minimum Qualifications**


-High school diploma or State-issued equivalency certificate plus 2 years of industrial relations support, administrative support, payroll support, or production scheduling experience reflecting increasing levels of responsibility.


-Experience handling sensitive and confidential information.


-Experience communicating professionally with employees regarding scheduling.


-Possess good organizational skills/record keeping skills and skills in multi-tasking.


-Required to work scheduled shift (day, swing or graveyard) and alternative work schedules, if applicable.


-Required to work overtime, weekends and holidays.


-Experience performing data entry on a PC and familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite.


-Good attention to detail.


-Skilled in reading, comprehending, interpreting and executing simple instructions, short correspondence and memos.


-Skilled in writing simple correspondence.


-Skilled in adding, subtracting, multiplying and dividing using whole numbers and increments of time.
