Primary Duties, Responsibilities, and Tasks

Be responsible for the successful consolidation of US payroll and the migration to the Workday HCM /Payroll System. This function will work closely with the US Controller, IT, Human Resources, and our HRIS group through the architect, configuration, test and deployment of the Workday system.

In this role, the Payroll Implementation Specialist/Consultant works collaboratively with Human Resources, Accounting, Business Intelligence and Information Technology and our implementation partners, to ensure systems, processes and reporting are aligned with Workday industry best practices and comply with relevant regulations. Provides leadership and direction in the utilization, accuracy and effectiveness of the in-house multi-state payroll operations as it relates to the Workday implementation.

**Requirements**

Bachelor-s degree in accounting or business administration or the equivalent (extensive ADP payroll experience may substitute for a degree)

Seven years of experience overseeing Payroll for a large company with multiple work locations

Strong Knowledge of IRS and multi-state compliance requirements for both domestic and international tax.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Independent thinker and analytical problem solver; able to work with minimal supervision and meet deadlines.

Demonstrated ability to improve processes and enhance systems

Able to recognize problems, develop and evaluate data, determine solutions, and make logical recommendations.

Effective negotiation, analytical, and interpersonal skills.

Communication skills: Strong interpersonal skills (listening skills, problem solving, confidence etc.), ability to multi-task and emphasis on customer service. Excellent written communication.

Experience with ERP systems.

Position requires meticulous attention to detail.

Strong working knowledge of MS Office

Demonstrated ability to bring individuals and groups to consensus agreements

Experience automating the payment process using industry and best practices

Required Prior Work Experience

Minimum 10 years- experience and expertise of ADP payroll systems

Experience establishing payroll strategy and leading change

Proficiency with garnishment rules and federal/state regulations

Experience in process definition and problem solving, analysis and change management

Team based leadership skills

Computer literacy and proficiency (Microsoft Office, Banner or other ERP systems)
