Payroll Processor - Pay; 22.00/hr Days: M-F 8am-5pm or earlier depending on what time Janet need this to start Location: The job will be on-site at Gallo Glass Summary Provides support and performs payroll activities for union hourly employees in accordance with the Collective Bargaining Agreement. Ensures accurate and timely data entry and updates in ADP to facilitate payroll processing by winery payroll team. Essential Functions This job description reflects managements assignment of essential functions; it does not prescribe or restrict the tasks that may be assigned. Prepares, enters, and validates all payroll data in ADP which includes employee time cards, time adjustments for shifts worked, vacation time, sick time, historical edits, pay codes and pay rates based on shift assignments. Responsible for adding new and updating existing employee information into ADP timekeeping system. Job Codes, Cost Center, Description, standard shift, etc. Partners with leave management on all medical or return to work accommodations to validate and update leave status in ADP. Responds to employees regarding payroll related issues and inquiries. Responsible for reviewing collective bargaining agreement/union contracts and company policies to ensure compliance with pay and deduction related items. Maintains various control documents to ensure accurate payroll processing. EDD forms, Weekly Sickness and Accident Benefits per the CBA, jury duty forms, etc. Meets with retiring employees and processes required paperwork for final pay for their last days worked. Advises Retiree on pension benefits after retirement. Processes union dues payments/initiation fees based on time and hours worked in ADP. Identifies ADP training needs and provides training needed for coordinators, supervisors and team leaders to ensure proper entry of hours worked for shift handover meetings. Ensures understanding of department and corporate policies. Researches and resolves out of balance conditions relative to employee paychecks. Reviews pay codes and pay rates to identify issues. Reports issues to winery payroll. Submits historical edit request to corporate payroll to correct pay. Responds to employee, Manager, and HR inquiries regarding payroll related issues in a timely manner, adhering to department expectations for written and verbal communication. Requests manual or off-cycle checks as needed for terminations, payroll adjustments and special pay. Provides winery payroll with hours worked and pay rates needed for correction and off cycle checks. Track apprenticeship and probationary period hours for all employees in an apprenticeship program based on hours worked recorded in ADP for maintenance, forming, machine repair and warehouse. Exports data to an Excel spreadsheet to track timing and rate changes. Tracks meal premium hours to be paid in ADP, approved or unapproved. Processes punch edits, absenteeism and vacation forms submitted by employee. Manages payment of service calls in ADP when an employee is called to work an off shift as required under the CBA. Provides specific reporting to winery payroll regarding over 56 hours worked double time pay , holidays worked etc. Maintains satisfactory attendance, to include timeliness. Responsible for understanding and complying with applicable quality, environmental and safety regulatory considerations.
