We are currently seeking a Ph.D. Biologist - T Cell & Tumor Immunology to support the National Institutes of Health in Bethesda, MD.

This is a long-term contract position which offers:

**TASKS/SERVICES** : The contractor shall:

(1) Design and perform experiments and interpret results.

(2) Perform procedures including tumor cell culture, T cell culture, T cell phenotype and function assays, flow cytometry, ELISA, ELISPOT, DNA cloning, viral vector design and production, and gene expression assays.

(3) Work with the clinical cell production facility to develop new cell production procedures.

(4) Follow clinical laboratory guidelines to produce cells for administration to patients.

(5) Maintain an accurate, detailed research record.

(6) Summarize and report results in oral and written formats.

**REQUIREMENTS** : The contractor ideally would have:

(1) Ph.D. in Biology, Life Sciences or a related discipline.

(2) At least two (2) years of relevant research experience

(3) Expertise in Microsoft Office Suite (MS Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Access).

(4) Knowledge in working with radioisotopes and laboratory safety procedures

(5) Experience with mouse handling, breeding, tumor models, and injections

(6) Research experience in T cell and tumor cell culture and T cell phenotype and function assays including flow cytometry and ELISA.

(7) Research experience in molecular biology including DNA cloning and the construction and use of viral vectors.

(8) Research experience with T cell receptor (TCR) or chimeric antigen receptor (CAR) gene therapy is preferred but not required.

(9) Strong communications skills, both oral and written.

(10) Excellent analytical, organizational and time management skills.
