Kelly Services is currently recruiting for a **12 month temp-to-permanent Pharmacology Scientist in South Plainfield, NJ.**


+ With guidance from the advisor, plans, initiates, directs and executes scientific research and experiments and interprets and communicates results as part of multi-disciplinary team(s). This includes performing analyses of primary research literature.

+ Presents findings internally to cross-functional teams.

+ Abides by all safety and regulatory guidelines.

+ Maintains a detailed laboratory notebook.

+ Performs other tasks as assigned.

+ Abides by all safety requirements and IACUC guidelines.

+ Contributes to general lab needs such as:

Equipment maintenance.

Capital equipment purchases.

+ Troubleshoot

+ Assists clinical research teams in the coordination and execution of clinical trial material sample tracking

+ Assist with collecting, reviewing, and tracking test reports and related documents

+ Assist with clinical trial logistics track site shipments/receiving and assist with sample handling/management


+ Hands-on laboratory experience in molecular assays (qPCR, ddPCR, RT-qPCR, cloning)

+ Hands-on experience in immunological assays: Western blotting, ELISA, MSD, immunohistochemistry, immunofluorescence, co-immunoprecipitation, RNA in situ/RNAscope, and confocal microscopy

+ Experience in cell culture, flow cytometry, cell line generation, and reporter assays

+ Assay development skills in a variety of platforms

+ In-depth knowledge in molecular biology, gene expression, RNA biology and signaling pathways


+ MSc in a scientific discipline preferably Molecular Biology, Biochemistry, Cell Biology, or Neuroscience

+ Demonstrates ability to work on complex problems to produce experimental data across one or more projects.

+ Exercises independent judgement within defined procedures and practices.

+ Demonstrates technical proficiency, collaboration with others within a fast-paced, matrixed, team environment consisting of internal and external team members.

+ Detail-oriented, highly organized, and able to manage multiple tasks.

+ Possesses detailed and expert knowledge of scientific principles and concepts.

+ Demonstrates ability to work effectively in a multi-disciplinary team environment.

+ Proficiency with Microsoft Office preferably MS Excel and MS PowerPoint or similar

+ Excellent verbal and written communication and skills.

+ Analytical thinker with excellent problem-solving skills.

+ Demonstrates an understanding of the strategic alignment of his/her work with corporate goal(s) and demonstrates the ability to adapt to changing priorities and deadlines.

+ Excellent planning, organization and time management skills including the ability to support and prioritize multiple projects.


+ Experience in designing and conducting studies in models of neuromuscular disease

+ Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of rodent and non-rodent models for neurological disease indications, including transgenic and knock-out mice.

+ Significant understanding of rodent neurology models, and competence with all routes of administration for therapeutics

+ Understanding of critical biomarker for disease and therapeutic efficacy readout

+ Understanding of Neuroscience, Ocular biology, Oncology, Immunology or other related biological area

+ Previous experience in monitoring/assisting clinical studies

+ Familiarity with health record database management systems/platforms

+ 1~2 years postgraduate degree or industry experience

* Travel requirements- may need to travel to Hopewell or Bridgewater to the other 2 sites but not likely
