**Job Description**

The role would be responsible for relationship management and stakeholder management for the Research and Development IT organization and the Pharmacometrics, Statistics, and Global Clinical programming business units. Familiarity with maintaining GxP validation for systems supporting these business areas, including managing GxP change control, and related documentation, is required.

Familiarity and experience with SAS and R usage and management in a mixed Windows/Linux environment is a must.

**Essential Duties & Responsibilities**

Maintain, support and implement SAS application environments

Facilitate functional and technical support to Clinical users globally

Understand and Analyze business requirements as applicable in existing systems or current vendor/systems landscape for new systems

Coordinate software application testing, quality assurance, configuration, installation and support to ensure smooth, stable and timely implementation of new software and updates to installed applications

Addresses issues with impact beyond own team based on knowledge of related disciplines

Analyze Business Requirements and create clear & concise Functional Specifications according to standards for technical staff to use in Detailed Design and software development

May assist in the preparation of related materials such as training materials and client User Acceptance Test materials, release notes, etc

Adhere to GxP Manufacturing and/or GxP Clinical Guidelines


**The individual filling this role must be able to**

Use industry best practices and knowledge of internal or external business issues to improve products/services or processes

Facilitate resolution of complex problems where precedent may not exist

Lead the work of project teams; may formally train junior staff

Work independently, sometimes with minimal guidance

Acts as a resource for colleagues with less experience

Liaise with Business Leads to be a main touchpoint to address stakeholder needs

Accept IT accountability role facing all stakeholders, including for end to end local system satisfaction

Contribute to portfolio strategy and system long range planning

Capture and prioritize new demand

Take responsibility for delivery quality and user acceptance/signoff

Understand the business processes and partner with the business system owners to implement systems to support their requirements/business process for new systems or new requirements in existing IT systems including all aspects such as delivery timelines

**Qualifications**

Education Required:

Undergraduate/BA/BS degree in Computer Sciences/Engineering

**Experience Required:**

5-7 Yrs of related experience in Pharmaceutical IT Systems

Working knowledge of SAS Administration, Programming and Support

Working knowledge of FDA compliance, specifically in 21CFR Part 11 regulations and GAMP guidelines

Strong interpersonal and communication skills

Experience working independently

Education & Experience Preferred:

Understanding of GMPs, Part 11 Requirements

Experience with project management, good presentation skills

Working knowledge of Clinical business processes

Experience in the following technologies

o Microsoft Azure

o SAS, SAS JMP, and SAS Grid technologies

o R, and RShiny
