Kelly Engineering has a great opportunity for an experienced Planner/Scheduler in the Electrical industry. Our client is looking for a Planner with some electrical experience in a manufacturing environment to join its team.







Under the direction of the Site Electrical Systems Integration Manager the Electrical Production Control Coordinator is responsible for the scheduling and timely production of electrical integration work for the electrical rough-in and packaging installation operations for all products made in the Denison, TX facility. The main objective of the Electrical Production Control Coordinator is to insure the timely completion of all electrical installation to achieve on-time shipment of the product units to the customer.





**Job Responsibilities/Duties:**






+ **Electrical Labor Hours Estimates / Job Requirements**

+ Determine allocated electrical job labor hours per unit






+ **Electrical Labor Capacity & Loading Analysis**

+ Determine the electrical labor capacity - availability

+ Determine the electrical daily/weekly loads






+ **Production Scheduling**

+ Obtain unit ship date requirements

+ Estimate unit availability date to commence electrical work RI & PK

+ Establish start and completion date goals per team-unit

+ For Rough-In (RI) electrical operation

+ For Packaging (PK) electrical operations

+ Obtain unit material kit readiness report from the Electrical Materials Coordinator

+ Expediently adjust electrical production schedules as necessary to meet tight deadlines and completion dates

+ Routinely walks and visits the production departments and the electrical installation team-units to assess completion status






+ **Job-Assignment Team-Unit**

+ Assign electrical teams to each unit for electrical installation RI & PK

+ Assign production shift work (first and second shift)

+ Assign production weekend work (Saturday and Sunday)

+ Assign production field services off-site work






+ **Electrical Production Meetings**

+ Schedule the electrical production meetings

+ Facilitate the electrical production meetings

+ Record / document meeting minutes assigned actions

+ Disseminate and communicate meeting notes / minutes






+ **Electrical Systems Integration Performance - KPI**

+ Provide ESI performance reports - by teams and units

+ Actual vs. Estimated Completion time - days

+ Actual vs. Estimated Job Labor time - hours

+ Actual Lead Time - Unit Availability vs. Ship Date - days

+ DTF - Reason for delays team-unit breakdown and analysis - hours

+ Drawing Issues

+ Material Issues

+ Lead Time issues

+ Labor Issues

+ Quality Score per electrical team:

+ % electrical completion at the time of shipment (Y/N)

+ % electrical ship complete

+ Installation quality score per electrical team

+ Provide electrical contractor performance score overall

+ Maintains and updates the physical Performance - Report-Out Board and presents to visiting managers (Gemba Walks) and customers






+ **Labor Time Management & Record**

+ Verify all employee have properly logged in their time - unit

+ Labor - Unit Standard Work

+ Labor - Unit Repair / Rework

+ Labor - Unit Field Services - Standard Work

+ Labor - Unit Field Services - Repair / Rework

+ Seek approval for labor hours outside operating guidelines

+ Resolve labor time issues, adjustments and corrections






+ **Electrical Punch List Management**

+ Receive electrical punch list from QC Final Inspector

+ Coordinate punch list corrective actions with shop department supervisors

+ With shop department supervisors

+ With yard production supervisor

+ With contractor electrical teams

+ With ACS electrical teams

+ Monitor and Insure all electrical punch list items are completed in a timely manner






+ **Ship Loose Management**

+ Schedule the Ship Loose build

+ Standard Ship Loose cargo

+ Special: For unfinished unit ship loose articles

+ Insure the shipping location for the Ship Loose cargo according to the customer






+ **Shipping Schedules**

+ Coordinate with the Shipping Group on when units will be shipped

+ When truck loading is scheduled

+ When truck departure is scheduled






+ **Completion Status Reporting**

+ Provide management and Project Managers with an accurate and timely status of all units.

+ Electrical installation starts and planned completion dates

+ Any and all Disturbances-To-Flow (DTF) issues per unit







**Technical:**




+ Associate degree in business or technical discipline

+ Three or more years of related experience in production control

+ Be highly proficient with Microsoft Office (must have advance skills): Outlook, Word, and Excel.

+ Willingness to participate in a team-oriented environment and foster cooperative work relations.




+ Ability to comprehend and apply basic mathematics; and strong analytical skills

+ Highly skilled at problem solving and issue resolution

+ Knowledge of business and management principles involved in strategic planning, resource allocation, production methods, and coordination of people and resources

+ Strong written and verbal communication skills





**Minimum Requirements Education & Experience:**




+ High school diploma or GED, or any combination of education and experience.

+ Five years of experience with the management or coordination of material storage and handling.

+ Five years of experience in the electrical wiring of power systems fabrication, assembly, electronics, systems installation, repair and maintenance.

+ Ability to read and interpret complex blueprints, schematics, drawings and sketches.

+ Must pass a drug screen and background check for employment.

+ Ability to read and write English, Bi-Lingual in Spanish is a plus.

+ Must be available to work overtime and on weekends, if needed.



**Physical Working Conditions:**




+ Able to work exposure to elements, such as ambient temperatures, dirt, dust, fumes, smoke, and loud noises.

+ Able to work in an area without heaters or air conditioning.

+ Able to work outside the building in various type of weather.

+ Able to stoop, bend, reach, climb, kneel, look up and work at 18 feet or more heights.

+ Must have good eyesight, with or without corrective lenses, with near vision acuity and color contrast differentiation to inspect fine detailed work.

+ Must be able to perform moderate physical activity including physical lifting up to 30 pounds, pushing or pulling of heaver objects.

+ Able to work in an environment involving exposure to potentially dangerous materials and situations that require following safety precautions and the use of personal protective equipment.
