**Position Summary:**

The **Plant Controller** is responsible for all areas relating to Plant analysis including cost accounting, cost analysis and inventory controls for multiple plant operations in addition to the financial P&L support for both the Residential and Commercial business unit. This position addresses tight deadlines and a multitude of financial leadership activities. The Controller will have a key role as part of the plant leadership team. In addition, the position requires contact with other financial professionals, functional managers, individual contributors and professionals, which requires strong interpersonal communication skills both written and verbal.

**Essential Functions:**

Planning and collecting data to determine costs of business activity such as raw material purchases, inventory and labor.

FP&A leadership for the recycled PVC business including budgeting, forecasting, P&L analysis and business unit support.

Developing capacity models and determining long term capacity needs; Analyzing changes in product design, raw materials, manufacturing methods or services provided to determine effects on cost.

Analyzing actual manufacturing costs and preparing periodic reports comparing standard costs to actual production costs. Analyzing cost information for use in controlling expenditures.

Practices strong engagement with team members including accepting diversity of ideas and thoughts, sharing responsibility for success, demonstrating honesty and integrity, helping employees solve problems and showing respect.

Ability to work in small office team environment as well as large corporation

Making estimates of new and proposed product costs.

Providing management with reports specifying and comparing factors affecting prices and profitability of products or services.

Assisting in month-end close of the General Ledger. Maintaining Standard Cost Accounting System; Manages the consolidated close process

Leadership over physical inventories and monitors cycle count program.

Reconciles finished goods inventories.

Supervises fixed assets accounting including monthly reconciliation.

Coordinates and conducts fixed asset physicals.

Works with the accounting department of The Company on financial and other informational requests; Directs the annual audit and quarterly review process with external auditors.

Monitors working capital and facilitate collection efforts

Maintain a Lead the development and improvement of processes and procedures to establish and reinforce internal control for accurate financial statement reporting.

Ensures all fixed assets are properly valued and depreciated.

Prepare weekly Revenue reports and weekly Sales to Budget reports.

Manages disbursements for payables. Ensures proper retention of accounting records.

Accruals and prepaid account maintenance and reconciliation.

Will provide HR support and guidance to the facility as needed

Appropriate internal control safeguards over financial reporting as required.

Position Qualifications

**Education:** Bachelor's Degree (four-year college or technical school): Preferably bachelors degree in accounting. MBA is a plus. CPA, CMA are a plus

**Experience:** Minimum 8 years total experience, with 5 years Cost/Manufacturing management experience. Experience with budgeting, forecasting and driving business results. Experience working with engineering and manufacturing personnel on development and analysis of cost standards. Strong systems, fixed asset, inventory and bills of materials experience. Budgeting and forecast leadership in a Manufacturing environment. Excellent analytical skills, sound understanding of accounting principles. Strong ability to communicate findings to senior and executive managers throughout all areas of the business. Extrusion manufacturing is helpful but not mandatory.

**Computer Skills:** High proficiency in MS Excel, Word, PPT, Outlook, ERP financial systems and Hyperion Essbase. Experience with J.D. Edwards and QuickBooks a plus
