Description **Plant Maintenance Technician**

Certificate, Diploma or Degree in Industrial Systems Technology or equivalent

PLC Certification a plus

Required: **Mechanical / basic PLC troubleshooting / pneumatic / basic electrical skills**

Preferred: Industrial Maintenance experience in a manufacturing and packaging environment (food manufacturing preferred) / electrical troubleshooting / welding

**Averaging appx 9-Hours per week in O/T**

SHIFT: 4:00PM - 4:00AM, 12-hour Shifts with Rotating Weekends

PARTICULARS OF INTEREST: Only works on Production Equipment, currently operating at 89% proficiency.

**Position Summary**

+ Executes the scheduled and day-to-day activities of the Maintenance Department to ensure the plant meets department and overall plant goals of safety and quality.
+ Sets up, adjusts, operates, maintains and **troubleshoots** various automated production equipment in a modern and complex food production facility.
+ Performs specific duties in the following areas: mixing, oven, packaging, scaling, warehouse, quality control, sanitation and others.
+ **Essential Job Functions**
+ **Troubleshoot,** repair and maintain plant machinery and equipment such as but not limited to mixers, depositors, ovens, conveyors, robots, wrappers, cartoners, tapers, printers and pumps.
+ **Troubleshoot,** repair or replace control devices such as but not limited to switches, photo eyes, proximity sensors, pushbuttons, contactors, motor starters, etc. as needed.
+ **Troubleshoot,** repair or replace oven components such as but not limited to burners, valves, bearings, scrapers, etc.
+ **Troubleshoot,** repair or replace pneumatic and basic electrical power components.
+ Responsible for **troubleshooting** and **repairing PLC based control systems.**
+ Perform and document work order repairs, inspections and adjustments as well as preventative and predictive maintenance tasks.
+ Ability to set up and operate equipment such as but not limited to hand tools, drill press, mill, hydraulic press and grinders.
+ Responsible for daily communication of all pertinent information to department management.
+ Works in conjunction with maintenance and refrigeration technicians to cross train on system maintenance to obtain adequate coverage across all shifts.
+ Assist management in developing standard operating procedures, and duty cycles for all repairs and maintenance, relating to process and packaging equipment.
