Kelly Engineering is conducting a confidential search for a Plant Manager on behalf of client that works in the oil and gas industry. Our client is looking for a strong manager (both administratively and supervisory) with a technical background in plant processes that involve pipelines and processing.


**Essential Responsibilities**


+ Lead & direct a small plant staff of operators, mechanics and electricians in a non-union, 2 shift, 24-7 operating environment.

+ Provide reviews, performance improvements, work orders, counseling if needed.

+ Provide after hours technical support. (On call rotation)

+ Manage day to day operations for the facility including contractors.

+ Ensure plant equipment and processes adhere to proper safety standards.

+ Lead plant projects including automation upgrades and retrofits.

+ Define scope, vendors, equipment, contractors, etc.


**Qualifications of the Successful Plant Manager**


+ Bachelor Degree in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering is required.

+ 5 years plant management experience in pipeline or refining environment is required

+ Record of successfully leading plant teams of operators, mechanics & electricians.

+ Record of leading & managing plant projects is required.

+ Required interpersonal skills:

+ Professional, clear and effective communication skills to ensure staff, contractors, customers and management is aware of goals, projects schedules, and expectations

+ Organized to manage multiple projects, in a variety of stages of completion, and day to day plant activities.

+ Responsive to questions from customers, management, contractors, and employees.
