**Role Description**

The purpose of this Postdoctoral Researcher position is to coordinate day to day field research operations for all Crop Protection disciplines, including Plant Pathology, Entomology, Weed Science, Traits, and Agronomy. This role will support efforts in characterizing pipeline molecules, formulated products, and related technologies. This position will coordinate field-based research activities for various product concepts in various stages of development. Specifically, this position will conduct field trials both directly and through technical support personnel to provide robust data packages and technical expertise to R&D and commercial project teams.


**Interacts with**

Field Sciences Regional R&D Leader (functional supervisor), Traits and CP Field Scientists, Global and Zonal Biology Leaders, Portfolio Marketing Leaders, Product Managers, and Market Development Specialist. External interactions could include contract research organizations, temporary workers, agricultural officials, growers and technical as well as commercial staff of distributors (customer facing role).


**Primary responsibilities**

Working in a team environment with other Scientists, Technicians, Interns, and contract researchers. Developing protocols and methodologies in consultation with Discipline Biology Leaders.

Conducting research on the biology characterization of Crop Protection compounds.

Preparing for, setting up, and implementing field trials, including chemical applications.

Assessing trials, recording data, data analysis, and delivery of scientific reports.

Accountability for field trial execution.

Conducting statistical analyses.

Networking with internal and external investigators and scientific colleagues to summarize all trial data and draw appropriate conclusions.

Supporting the Crop Protection Field Science Development group in characterizing new and existing pipeline projects with the goal of advancing projects and disseminating results through the Corteva organization.

Communicate data interpretations and conclusions to project leaders and key stakeholders.

Ensure all work is done safely and within regulatory and policy guidelines.



**Requirements**

Qualified candidates should have completed a PhD in Agricultural Related Biology Disciplines or a closely related major.?

Extensive understanding of the techniques and approaches associated with high quality, high volume small plot crop research.?

Good data analysis, interpretation skills, and strong communication skills.

Strong project management skills.

Ability to work well with a diverse team across a broad network of stakeholders.

Experience working with and testing agricultural chemicals is desired.

Strong demonstrated attributes of collaboration and ability to quickly learn new tasks/areas.
