Kelly Services is currently seeking a **Research Associate** for a long-term engagement with one of our Global clients. Candidate will need to live near Irvine, San Diego or Pamona CA. This is an open-ended assignment and comes with enhanced benefits.

The Research Associate will join our Kelly FSP (Functional Service Provider) division, a managed solution provider and business unit of Kelly Services, Inc. **The position will focus on cardiovascular pre-clinical studies. Research Associate must have prior experience working with animals (preferably larger animals), interest in cardiovascular studies and need to be able to plan and execute preclinical studies independently.**

**Responsibilities of the Research Associate (Pre-Clinical** **Cardiovascular** **Studies)** **include** **:**

+ Assist in monitoring initial phases of medical cardiovascular science studies (including journal reviews, and characterization testing).

+ Independently identify data outliers and prepare data for analysis for in-vivo study data.

+ Assist in in-vivo protocol execution as well as handling discrete aspects of study management. (i.e. travels, meeting agenda and equipment logistics).

+ Interface with internal and external customers.

+ Ensure personal and company compliance with all Federal, State, local and company regulations, policies and procedures for Health, Safety and Environmental compliance as well as develop a strong working knowledge of design controls and quality assurance standards of procedure.

+ Have a working knowledge of good laboratory practices and operating room procedures.

+ Be willing to develop an understanding of cardiac electrophysiology procedures and the products used.

+ Traveling domestically and international may be required.

**Qualifications of the Research Associate (Pre-Clinical Cardiovascular Studies)**

+ Advanced degree (M.S. or Ph.D.) in Science is preferred. Minimum of B.S. in Science is required.

+ Prior experience working with animals (preferably larger animals)

+ Ability to plan and execute preclinical studies independently.

+ Interest in cardiovascular studies

+ Must have strong critical thinking and problem solving ability

+ Proven success as a liaison working with various personalities and cultures exhibiting strong communication ability

+ Excellent organizational skills

+ Excellent time management skills

+ Must be able to trouble shoot, prioritize, and make fast decisions

+ Ability to work under deadlines and in a fast paced work environment

+ Computer literacy and proficiency in Microsoft Office Products such as Word, Excel, and Outlook
