**Principle Scientist**



1. 50/50 fifty percent in the laboratory and 50% working on lab reports, technical writing


1. 10-15 clients, mostly method development API-, 20-25 open projects


1. Team Leader, two other method development Scientist, that will eventually lead to Co-Group Leader


**CRO - Analytical Method Development**

As a Principal Chemist, youll lead analytical method development dedicated to phase-appropriate drug development. In this fast-pace, client facing role youll be the interface between the analytical, manufacturing, and client CMC personnel as you spearhead drug development testing activities. As a Principal Chemist youll also be responsible for training and guiding junior chemists in support of analytical development and validation, as well as other R&D activities as needed.


Main Responsibilities:


+ Provide scientific support in the area of analytical chromatographic analysis of small molecule drug product candidates for both pre-clinical and clinical development activities

+ Develop, validate, and transfer analytical methods under cGMP conditions;

+ Review of analytical data;

+ Technical writing of validation protocols and reports in support of analytical activities related to manufacturing and product release timelines;

+ Support the head of analytical as needed with client interactions, scientific troubleshooting, and support of scientific staff.

+ Contributes to the growth and development small moleclue method development, validation, and other drug development services, as well as participates in strategic planning and laboratory operations initiatives;

+ Responsible for working closely with other project teams and serves as back-up when any of them is out of office;

+ Respects Health and Safety standards in terms of personal protection, laboratory maintenance, and work procedures;


Desired Profile:


+ College degree in chemistry or a related scientific discipline;

+ Minimum 8 years experience in a cGMP laboratory in the pharmaceutical industry

+ Significant experience applying current ICH, USP, and international regulatory expectations to the drug development process;

+ Client services approach and mindset (internal and external);

+ Ability to work in a fast-paced environment;

+ Highly organized and detail focused;

+ Strong clerical skills including data entry and document organization;

+ Strong work ethic;

+ Problem solving and risk mitigation skills;

+ Fluent English language skills required (both written and spoken).
