Description Tremendous opportunity for a Privacy and Data Security Attorney to take their career to the next level with one of Kelly Services’ top corporate clients in metro Detroit. Kelly Legal Managed Services is seeking an attorney to implement and manage our client’s data privacy compliance program. Qualified candidates will also advise members of the Legal/Risk Management contracts team regarding privacy and data security matters on commercial agreements, including master services agreements, engagement letters, and vendor agreements. This is a direct hire opportunity.

**Duties**


+ Provide advice relating to relevant privacy and data security laws and regulations
+ Partner with the Information Security Department regarding the design, implementation, and maintenance of the Data Security Program
+ Advise on the records management program
+ Implement and maintain a comprehensive data privacy compliance program for global operations
+ Participate in data security incident responses that affect the company
+ Coordinate with members of Legal/Risk Management, IT, and other departments regarding the records management program
+ Participate in continued development of the company’s Compliance Program, and execution of its annual goals and deliverables
**Qualifications**


+ Must be actively licensed in good standing with the Michigan State Bar (or able to obtain admission within one year of employment)
+ Minimum 3-5 years’ experience in data privacy / data protection
+ CIPP certification strongly preferred
+ Strong substantive knowledge of US privacy and data protection law, including emerging trends, and a working knowledge of international privacy laws, particularly in the EU
+ Experience developing and reviewing privacy and data protection policies
+ Experience counseling on privacy and data protection issues in commercial and contractual matters
+ Strong knowledge of and history working with IT functions and processes
+ Exceptional verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
+ Robust project management, with solid organizational and time management skills
+ Strong Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint skills
