Process Control Engineer

Process Control Engineer - This engineer will participate in new contact lens development and optimization activities.

**Key activities**

+ writing protocols, data gathering, performing data analysis, and technical report writing

+ Engineers will provide recommendations on trends, correlations, response variables, limit testing, DOE s, etc in an effort to better understand process interdependencies and present results at team meetings

+ They will establish mfg. process parameters that support high capability for key process and lens performance metrics.

+ They will also partner with Automation Engineering on Lab improvement and capability expansion projects for assuring department readiness for new product/process development activities that will include conducting process qualifications of existing equipment per departmental procedures.

+ The candidate will be interfacing with internal cross functional teams while working on this program.

+ Support new produce/process validations.

+ Execute, and analyze experiments.

+ Use analytical analysis tools and drive data driven decision making.

+ Establish mfg process parameters.

+ Participate in process optimization, quality improvements and efficiency improvements.

+ Ensure product quality and all tasks are in accordance with established SOPs, GMPs, Divisional Specifications, and EHS standards

+ Work with peers and Technicians on supporting equipment qualification activities.


+ BS Scientific Discipline, Mechanical, Biomechanical or Chemical Engineering preferred

+ 3 -10 years in Engineering.

+ Exposure to a hands-on experience and technical driven developmental environment a must.

+ ISO-9000, GMP, medical device manufacturing experience a plus.

+ Computer Literacy with skills in Microsoft Excel, Word.

+ Communication, Organization, Report Writing, and Presentation skills a must.

+ Must be able to develop working relationships with various internal core competencies and project team members.

+ Specialized Training: MiniTab, JMP or equivalent software

+ Experience expertise in Statistical Analysis including DOE and SPC a plus.
