Candidate is required to have bachelors degree in chemical engineering and minimum of 5 years experience in process design of chemical manufacturing facilities, with 10 years of experience preferred.


Candidate will be a member of a large capital project team and will be responsible to perform standard process engineering activities. Typical work will include developing and updating P&IDs, performing hydraulic, heat transfer, and mass transfer calculations and designing associated equipment, completing safety reviews, and reviewing designs with technical experts. Experience in the following is required: Fluid hydraulics calculations, sizing of pumping systems, heat exchanger design and troubleshooting, physical property generation, process modeling, and relief design. Candidate should have experience with industry standard calculation programs and design criteria.


The individual may be required to travel occasionally to nearby facilities to complete field assessments, validate drawings, and attend meetings with operations representatives.


Familiarity with sizing tools and Global Project Methodology is desirable but not required. This individual will work under the direction of a lead engineer, but will manage individual portions of the project requiring strong soft skills including communication, initiative, and leadership.
