Description Kelly Engineering is currently looking to hire a **Process Engineer** to work for one of our top Pharma clients on-site in Rochester, NY.


**Position Summary**

This engineer will participate in development and optimization activities; writing protocols, data gathering, and analysis for new contact lens materials.

The candidate will work with senior engineers on data analysis; provide recommendations on trends, correlations, response variables, DOE’s etc in an effort to better understand process interdependencies.

They will also guide and partner with Automation Engineering on Lab improvement and capability expansion projects for assuring department readiness for new product/process development activities that will include conducting process qualifications of existing equipment per departmental procedures.

The candidate will be interfacing with internal cross functional teams while working on this program.

**Specific Job Duties**


+ Support new product/process validations.
+ Execute, and analyze experiments. Use analytical analysis tools and drive data driven decision making.
+ Participate in process optimization, quality improvements and efficiency improvements.
+ Ensure product quality and all tasks are in accordance with established SOPs, GMPs, Divisional Specifications, and EHS standards.
+ Work with peers and Technicians on supporting equipment qualification activities.
**Job Knowledge/Experience:**


+ Education: BS Scientific Discipline, Mechanical, Biomechanical or Chemical Engineering preferred.
+ 3 -10 years in Engineering. Exposure to a hands-on experience and technical driven developmental environment a must. ISO-9000, GMP, medical device manufacturing experience a plus.
+ Special Skills:

+ Computer Literacy with skills in Microsoft Excel, Word.

+ Communication, Organization, Report Writing, and Presentation skills a must.

+ Must be able to develop working relationships with various internal core competencies and project team members.
+ Specialized Training:

+ MiniTab, JMP (or equivalent software)

+ Experience & expertise in Statistical Analysis including DOE and SPC a plus.
**Important information:** This position is recruited for by a remote Kelly office, not your local Kelly branch. Must be legally permitted to work in the United States.
